A Norrath United
We’ve been waiting years for a game that has a world where PvE and PvP can co-exist on the same server. The only difference with the servers is what I call Easymode and Hardcore servers . Some like the versions of todays mmo's where achieving max level take less than a week and others like the feeling when rewarded for getting passed those difficult obstacles on their way to max level that will take a much longer time. Now, we’re all going to get what we want in the same game.
PvP + PvE = OK!
As far as I can tell there has only been 1 game that I have played that had a working system which included PvE and PvP on the same server. The game I am talking about is SWG(pre-CU/NGE). Imagine to have a server where an existing and working RvR (Good vs Evil), and at the same time everybody can play together in PvE if they so choose instead. This is very much possible.
If you take the TEF system (temporary enemy flag) from SWG and modify it with the required ruleset, this will become a dream come true for all gamers.
The TEF system gave you a temporary PvP flag once you attacked a player that was already flagged (you will always have this choice = first strike), npc of opposite faction(pvp tag next to npc name so that you know before you attack), or assisted a flagged player in any way (even if the player was only doing PvE.) The temporary pvp flag last 5 minutes, then you go back to Neutral PvE status. Also, at any time you have the choice to go permant PvP, and also to go back to Neutral PvE mode. If you go back, you get a 5 minute timer.
All factions can play together in groups if they are in Neutral PvE mode and not flagged.
If a grouped player decide to attack a PvP flagged player, he/she will be automatically kicked from the group. If any player from that group assists the kicked player they will also be kicked once they become flagged for assisting. (here they can steal something from Rift, where PvP flagged players get a popup box to join an existing pvp flagged group).
A killed flagged PvP player will automatically go into Neutral PvE mode. So, griefing will never take place.
Crafting, Vanguard or SWG style?
Tired of the *click* wait, wait, wait – Crafting complete style? Now, it’s difficult to guess what system they choose. Both these systems require your full attention. SWG has the advantage of that every crafted item became unique, because the harvested resource had random generated stats. The only problem is, how would they implement this system into a fantasy MMORPG? I don’t know.
Then we have the Vanguard system which I think is good enough to implement. The game is free to play, you should try it out if you want to learn more about it.
Housing
In SWG, you could build your house anywhere, make towns where you elect mayor etc that can add things to the town. I believe this is a huge possibility that they add it for EQN. It was one the biggest successes in SWG, and I haven’t seen this in any game since. It is a sandbox after all.
Skill/Level up system (not the regular way of leveling)
Any character created can become anything. You level up using a system taken from SWG. You can combine professions any way you want. If my memory is not failing, SWG had 32 total professions, maybe not that many in Everquest. You can read all about the system here. Hopefully, SOE has perfected the system to suit the fantasy world.

Raids + World Bosses – Instances
We’re going back to EQ1? I hope so. Time to stand in queue for Vox and Nagafen, and possible lower level bosses as well, this time around, that requires more players than just a group. No more instances, pretty please, let us interact with one another and discuss who gets to kill the boss if several teams show up.
Death Penalties
Easy mode servers - Any penalty that is existing in current games today like Neverwinter, WoW etc...
Hardcore servers - Penalties including xp loss, corpse runs etc, (EQ1 style) It's gonna hurt to die again.
Food & Water
I wasn't going to add much from EQ2 at all, but, their food and water requirement that they have is an improvement from EQ1. I hope it will move on to EQN. Food and Water is required for health, mana and energy regen. Also, if it's very nice high quality food, they come with great stats. (btw, advanced food and water is crafted. Basic food and water can be bought from a general items vendor)
If I think of more things, I can add them here.

Comments
I used hunt there with my jedi, amongst other areas where ppl rarely went.
Lets hope for a life changing game once again.
The only thing I really want is that we don't lose anyone, for example, by dividing us. Hope they keep PvP and PvE together (but still separate) like they did in SWG. If they are successful with this, the game has a great future.
