Taverning in-game

So just considering my past experience in online gaming, are there any tight communities/guilds/groups who still meet up in taverns of their respective mmo's? I can recall a linkshell trip back and forth in ff11 on the selbina/mhaura ship, good times.

    Hmm...I wish!  Let me know if you find something like this.  Loved that kind of stuff.
