pre-order question

in Final Fantasy XIV
I saw that I could preoder the game on SE's website for $29.99.  Do I need to order the older version of this game 1st to be able to play it? or is it just preorder for thirty bucks and Im done? Im really looking forward to playing this game, just trying to make sure what all I need to do.  thanks

    You do not need the older version to play 2.0

    You can simply pre-order from SE's website and you are good to go when the game is released.

    I don't think you will be able to order the old version anyways
