Is the texas judicial system skewed?

So I have been reading a few threads regarding the new charging of the Texas teen that said a brutal comment on the interent apparently LOLing it as a joke. My take on that is he should be punished, but not like that. Teenagers need to be held accountable even on the internet or they will never learn. You can read it here and decide;
