Important Question about 1.0 owners

in Final Fantasy XIV

I originally purchased FFXIV and therefore have learned that A Realm Reborn will be free for me. I had originally pre-ordered my copy of ARR but soon after cancelled after learning I'm basically pre-ordered already.

I've searched far and wide and was hoping to see if anyone knows for sure, but do original owners of FFXIV get early access? I know we don't know details as to what that entails yet, but I'm torn on waiting too long to pre-order to guarantee my spot in early access. It would be nice to get the game AND early access for free, but I'm not holding my breath. 

Lastly, I hope we learn about how Open Beta is going to work as far as no wipes go etc. I always wonder if this info is buried in the Japanese forums somewhere!

    if u reached 30+ you are Legacy enabled. if not, you jujst get the game and 14 days for free.

    People who have the original 1.0 game get ARR for free but you do not get early access. Only people who pre order the new box or are legacy members get early access. Legacy members are people who paid for 3 months of subscription last year before the game went down. 

    As far as open beta goes there will not be any wipes unless they encounter a severe bug.

    Appreciate the responses! I'll go ahead and pre-order, I never made 3 months on 1.0. Do you guys have links to this info by the way? Mostly the early access info, I believe you but I'm just flabbergasted I couldn't find it lol.

     

    Oh and lastly, do we even know what early access means? Are they just going to cut off open beta X amount of days before release?
