Is this a good deal?

Can someone please take a look at this:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=8147888&sku=B69-0895

and answer a few questions for me?

1) Is it a (bad / so-so / good / great) deal overall compared to normal prices for those items?

2) Will that system work paired with an Nvidia 560 Ti+ card?

3) If it *won't* work at all with an NVidia card what is a comparable card to the 560 Ti+ that is AMD?

Thanks so much!

Bah you guys are too slow, its out of stock now.   Guess it was a really good deal after all.  :-(

Edit: Now its back in stock again.   Go figure.

For the price its not a bad deal at all. But you would have to buy a new power supply to go in there so you have to figure that into the cost.

You can get a decent power supply for $60-$80 bucks tho.

I would price everything they have in there individually, then add a power supply that wont fry your computer and see what it comes out to.

Usually these kinds of deals cut corners on a few of the items, in this case the psu is not good.

What makes this PSU bad?  It doesn't give a model but the closest I can find:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153023

seems to have solid reviews from thousands of people.

First of all it is not even rated, at all. Which means it could not pass even the lowest standards of testing. Here is a link to a review of testing of the PSU you linked.

    http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Thermaltake-Purepower-430W-NP-Power-Supply-Review/332/9

You can read it all or skip to the conclusion. Which says do not buy, its actually a 350w power supply. I will let you read the rest if you want.

And secondly do not put too much weight on newegg.com reviews. A bunch of people who have no clue what a good component is giving it 5 stars does not make it a good psu. Some tard in those reviews stated he was running sli 480s with two of these in one computer. That should tell you all you need to know about what kind of people give reviews.

All in all its your money, you asked if it was a good deal and I gave my opinion. Use that psu at your own risk.

The psu is what powers your entire system. Putting a piece of shit psu will run the risk of frying everything in the PC. All in the name of saving $50 dollars. I will let you decide if its worth the risk for you.

Good luck in whatever you decide. =)

Well since I don't need the case (I have several extra cases) and the PSU isn't any good, this doesn't seem like such a great deal anymore maybe?

Is the processor + MB + ram for $250 a good value, if I ignore the case and PSU?

No, it's not.  What exactly are you trying to do?

Calling the motherboard a piece of junk is probably a little too harsh, but only a little.  The processor is definitely not what you want, either.  Actually, it looks like the entire bundle consists of parts that no one wants and they're trying to get rid of.

If your going the budget build route then a cpu, mobo, ram and case for $250 may not be a bad deal. If you dont need the case or the psu then I would skip it for sure.

The fx 4100 is not a bad cpu IMO. Just not what you would want if you had a choice and a bigger budget.
