I want a MMO that has lots of personal devlopment.

I am tired of cookie cutter, i am tired of easy, i am tired of not being able to be gimped.  I miss the old ac before it was "Fixed"  I like lots of chactor choices and skills that i choose and are not given to me.  I want a game where skills are King and class is trivial.  Class is what you call your self.  what happened to these games?  are there any out there?

how do you guys feel about the current state of games mmo's more specifically.

I like the idea to be able to TEMPORARILY gimped myself.

 

I think the trials in CoH for respec are the start of the solution, however instead of having complete success or nothing, maybe it could work more in steps.  Where if you do this you get 10% of your respec earned, so if your lame and do it 10 times to that point(time consuming), you get it.  Also, a limit of respecs is bad, it should be a limit where you cant earn anything for a respec before X times elapse since last respec.
