From a Gamers Perspective

We have all played our bad share of games.  Most of us have probably purchased a game, played it, then gotten upset (would love to have seen some of those moments) because the game was bad.  Its especially bad when the game has so much hype.  You could fill in the blanks with a list of many games that fall into this category, but I won't start listing my games.  In one game, I have seen something good happen and I hope that other developers take notice.

I am referring to Final Fantasy XIV.  The game released and it was horrible.  Rather than let it play out, they stepped up, completely redesigned the game, and made significant improvements from what it once was.  I understand this game may not be your cup of tea, but the concept is great and impacts us all.  If developers see this as a good thing, perhaps many of the games we are disappointed in could be reworked as well.

I understand finances play a large part, but some games could have truly been good because of their concept or a few missing components.  My point is to give props to developers that do the right thing.  When we see this, as gamers, we should be vocal and supportive in any way we can, so we can see more of it.  I am not saying you have to run out and buy any game that does this, but at least praise the developer for doing the right thing.  I mean look at these forums, one thing we are all good at is giving our opinion and spreading info via word of mouth. Ok rant over.
