Is Half-Life 3 The Oasis from Ready Player One

I just listened to a pair of interviews with Gabe Newell that was done by the crew from The Nerdist podcast and Will Weaton. That's not important though, what's important is that we get to hear Gabe tell it like he sees it and it might be my own bias and wishful thinking, but the whole company mission statement, it's view of the business and culture, it's dabbling in controllers and new ways of interfacing with our interactive content, it all points to Valve going way out there in preparation for the future.
