Just some basic questions

Hello all

I played Eve Online for a while among many other mmo's (DAOC being my first). Really looking to buy this game at the steam sale, but on the fence as I have a 14 year old daughter and some certs for work I need to finish up, so another words im afraid it may take over my life.

Anyways here are the simple questions.

When you kill a player and he drops his loot, does it drop all the gear he had or is it partial? Is it similar to Eve?

Are you able to play as a healer?

Do clans invite people who want to spend more time crafting than PvP'ing?

A person who wants to do crafting in the game and also wants to play healer primalist?

You are a DF clan leaders wet dream.

Every clan needs you desperately and cant get enough of them.  Primalists (healing primalists no Rambo str melee primalists) are so vital to large scale pvp.

I recommend buying before the Steam sale expires! A lot of players within my clan, The BlackHand Order, are in there 30's with children, they play enough to be very competitive still. You will drop all your loot but durability goes down with use, the primalist is a great essential healer role which requires skill to fully utilise and every clan loves crafters.

If you're playing EU take a look at www.tbhorder.com we have a few new players we've invited into our ranks recently :)

There are much better things on the horizon. I bought DFUW on the steam sale and I gave it a shot, but ultimately it's a little too niche for me. Quirky controls, bad graphics, prowess(leveling) is a bore and a chore, plus the population has dwindled a lot. I'd suggest you Youtube some gameplay videos and crafting videos and see if they help you decide... I really wanted to like the game but ultimately the graphics and the controls killed it for me.

    The controls? Aiming?

No the button system, selecting abilities... throw in how the server has regular lag+aiming required for abilities and it's just a hot mess. Again, try it if you want but after I played it for a couple days it really wasn't for me. Dated graphics, sloppy animations, cumbersome leveling, and really weird controls

The radial wheel, if you'd like to use it takes getting used to but it does give you the option to bind abilities to any keys you like. I.e. you bind it to R, press R and it's ready to cast. The server doesn't have any lag, that must be an ISP issue of yours.

I suppose if you're used tab-target these controls would feel odd.

Also picked it up on this Sunday.  Will prob check it out after work today.  Are there any sites out on the net that show what resources spawn where. Also any crafting guides out there

    http://www.darkfallunholywars.info/

That's a good website but don't pay attention to the classes section, most of those aren't released yet.

Also join a clan asap when you're used to the controls.
