Any kind of cover mechanic?
Soft/hard cover played a role in the 1st edition hardback 40 k rule book! Though SM power armor is cover!

A: Cover will be important, but we're evaluating whether it will be "Sticky" or not. For a race like the Space Marines, it doesn't make much sense, since they have much more faith in their armor than any piece of plasteel wall or rubble. We want to find a cover system that works well for all races.
i think there will be no hard or softcover, but there will be cover that is destructable if you meant this^^
yes i like combat roll, and different form of combat roll (i imagine eldar will be the more agile and warp spider make small "warp jump")
but why no jump? i've played many yers gw1 and i play space marine (so i'm ok with no jump for reasons) gw1 dont' have jump but charging the enemy and getting stuck in a rock or can't yump over something can break immersion. i know, bunny hopping can be ridiculus in a war 40k game. but maybe a small jump with a cooldown can help not being stuck every where.

fluffwise power armor is actually a second skyn and improve all the physical feature and make jump greater distance. but yes it's ridiculus see space marine bunny hopping every second.
Will i be says as a Nob or (in the future) as a Commissar be able to in the middle of battle maybe activate a ability and executed a nearby player and give everyone around me some kind of buff to help say make the finally push on an enemy position.
Like i could imaged playing a big ork boss and the group of orks boys around me are falling back or unable to push forward. So i activate some kind of execution ability, say with and hour cool down or something. My Nob with his big power claw Grabs a random nearby cowardly/badmouthing ork, crushes him and then slams him into the dirt a bit before chucking him at the enemy and yelling some kind of orks threat and telling the boys to get to the stompen or he was going to stomp them.!
Or in cause of A Commissar he pulls out his pistol , yells "On charges of cowardice, you're sentenced to DEATH" before shooting said guardsmen in the head killing him. Both of said action would give your fellow players around you some kind of large but temporary buff to help motivate them on a finally push or charge or what ever need doing.
Because i really want to play a Commissar when the IG do eventually come on and if i cant execute cowards i'll be a sad Commissar .
Whats the work day for you fellas? Meetings, whats being discussed? Whats on the agenda this week for programming/modeling and the like? What goal are you setting out to complete this very moment? (aside from gold status of course)

i can give you a clear no to execution of other players, they will never implement a mechanic that draws out the fun for 1 player to let all others have more fun

first the questions: Execution of team members - well we are not sure about FF yet - if we will have it, i think of executing a coward might be something that could be fun in fact - not saying we will have it, just saying I could imagine it. But this is just a feeling right now, this needs proper discussion with designers and checking what are the consequences etc.
playing alone - sure - but ofc we are not focusing on gameplay for a single player - this is an MMO and we want players to play together as much as possible. There will be solo gameplay too, but war is not won by 1 person alone
Typical day here at Behaviour:
8:30 ish - everyone arrives, checking mails, answering forums, having coffee or breakfast
9:45 - standup meeting - short summary of what has been done the day before, what is going to happen today
10:00-12:00 different to every team member, but in general working on tasks, features and some bugs.
12:00-13:00 lunch time, some play some games, some go out for food etc.
13:00-15:00 time when meetings and other team related stuff usually happens, but depending on day ofc also implementation of further features
15:00-17:30 normal work, we try not to have meetings during that time but focus on work and finish up stuff for the day
17:30 - open end - after work stuff, sometimes we go for a beer or have supper...
sounds probably more boring than it is but in general we have all a lot of fun here and enjoy our work a lot! And I can only say that the team we are working with here is just fantastic! A very enthusiastic bunch of freaks, nerds, family people etc...

it's never wrong to discuss ideas - often they lead to really good ideas when i said i can think about it, i meant that there is something that might be worth looking into and spending time with - because it's something that might be a nogo for other games it might be something, if done right, that could make this game stand out some more

1. Will the combat system introduce blocking? Like, blocking a standard swing or an execution move (Like the enemies in Space Marine game blocked your executions (nobz,chaos space marines). And if there indeed is execution blocking, will it be rmb mouse button winning contest or smthin else?:D
2. Will there be any naval fighting? In Second War of the Armageddon(If I remember right), orks used ships to attack the Imperial forces.
3. If Dreadnaughts are in the game will there be any other walker type of vehicles? Like Deff Dreads,Killa Kans,Sentinels? If these things are to be introduced, will there be any penalties/requirements when you enter/purchase them? Furthermore, will players have to spend the rest of their days inside those walkers(for example, when an ork enters a killa kan, he is permanently stuck inside the thing because the meks wrap cables around him that can't be removed so he basically becomes "one" with the kan).
4. Will the Tyranids be stationed in space or are they native to the planets where we fight?
5. Customizeable Guild banners that we can carry to battle?:)
6. The game is a massive battleground, so can we expect the system requirements to be high?

yep ;-D althou it would be broken to use it on players, having an animation where he executes his 2-3 second cast time summon to buff his team mates could be pretty awesome i think! Expecially if the summoned guardsman is like confused about whats he doing there

well i think executing will not be blockable by the executed player cause he will be in a "down state". so he needs to count on his mates

there will be water. i think they answered that in the Q/A on twitch.tv

there will be walker for all factions, but there are some requirements to get to them
so you can imagine that you will not be in it for ever, when you die your walker dies too

the tyranids are controlled by AI. they will be attracted by the strongest faction and attack them

Having played alot of MMO's one thing that I find Key is the social inclusion, how do you guys plan to use resources such as steam for example?
Additionally any plans to add content on facebook? Even if its photos of you guys at work or a tech screeny. Feel this should be updated more often (the unoffical fan page has more likes) a small thing but it really does peak peoples interest in the product and helps spread the word.
Also one thing - would it be possible to add in a /duel command? Something few mmo's do but something missed greatly in Warhammer online. Could be a practice cage fight or the like to fit lore.
If you guys want control of the FB page or Steam group I have created just ask.

cant remember seeing any requierments, but mr balthazar did say they would have a 64bit client and make use of multiple processor cores. (both of which make me VERY happy)
bear in mind that these sorts of games have a MUCH harder time in high population situations when compeared to other mmos as you can easly end up with hundreds of players on screen at once. so in big battles even the most powerfull gameing rigs may not be able to keep a high frame rate. also it all depends on how they optemise the game and whear the bottlenecks are. for example in planetside 2 the main problem seems to be the CPU optemization, so knocking the graphics level down has very little effect on performance on high end rigs.
on a side note they are developing this game with posible ports to consoles in mind so dont expect a game that will have minimum specs way out of the range of the ps4 and the xbone.
oh - you mean like eastereggs and stuff...hehe, well yes we plan to have eastereggs and i can totally imagine to see a Primarch "Lord Pada" somewhere in the game
As a long term Ork player I'm absolutely thrilled about EC
Just a few questions please
- Will the whole range of Ork classes be in the game, also the more weird and wonderful ones, Weirdboyz, Nob Bikers etc
- How will you handle bosses like Wazdakka? Will players eventually be able to play one of the bosses, lets say if they rise high enough in the PvP rankings?
- How will you put "supply lines" in the game? I am excited to hear you want to do it, and I hope this leads to a bit more strategy in the game and not just some "whack-a-mole" objective swapping, rinse repeat like in other RvR games.

As a long term Ork player I'm absolutely thrilled about EC
Just a few questions please
- Will the whole range of Ork classes be in the game, also the more weird and wonderful ones, Weirdboyz, Nob Bikers etc
- How will you handle bosses like Wazdakka? Will players eventually be able to play one of the bosses, lets say if they rise high enough in the PvP rankings?
- How will you put "supply lines" in the game? I am excited to hear you want to do it, and I hope this leads to a bit more strategy in the game and not just some "whack-a-mole" objective swapping, rinse repeat like in other RvR games.
