Well, he wouldn't go like "This isn't the type of game Vanguard and EverQuest players will like". I think it's likely to be a F2P PvE sandpark game. But time will tell.
Does he rly think that "Intro's" or "Rendertrailer" still mean something for us???
Man......
He is most likely talking about watching them do a practice run of the keynote. Devs in Vegas already. Not literally the games intro movie. And no, he isn't working on EQN but does work for SOE.
Kyleran: "Now there's the real trick, learning to accept and enjoy a game for what
it offers rather than pass on what might be a great playing experience
because it lacks a few features you prefer."
John Henry Newman: "A man would do nothing if he waited until he could do it so well that no one could find fault."
FreddyNoNose: "A good game needs no defense; a bad game has no defense." "Easily digested content is just as easily forgotten."
LacedOpium: "So the question that begs to be asked is, if you are not interested in
the game mechanics that define the MMORPG genre, then why are you
playing an MMORPG?"
Vanguard had some cool experimental stuff I will admit, but vanguard being mentioned makes me kinda uneasy.. The amount of bugs in vanguard was the most amazing thing about it, When I gave it a second chance a year after release it literaly took me 5 minutes to get stuck inside the model of a gigantic wall.
Also swg players wont love it ? no player cities? noo!!!
I do not even have words to express how creepy and weird it is to see so many people e-orgasming over a game with barely any kind of info released yet.
And it´s only going to get worse, because once they release the "information" and probably a trailer to go with it, everyone and his mom is going to believe every cliche´d epic sentence and statement about how awesome everything is, and talk of it as fact til the beta.
Then, and upon realizing that, while a decent game, perhaps it´s not all what was promised, they are going to use the typical "It´s a beta, its not the full game and a lot is going to be introduced in future phases" card.
And then.....
Well, i do not need to explain it, it has been happening for how many years now?

Or people will be pleased with the info given, beta, and final release... How long has the sky been falling?
While I get where you are coming from and do not doubt what you say will happen for some, others will be happy with whatever is released, even if it is terrible to others.
I look at the Wildstar forums and the large amount of info released and can't get how people think it will be exciting, but then read what they write and some really enjoy the play style and what it has to offer and only want a new game, regardless if it is a clone or whatever.
Hype is fun. Look at movies, phones, cars, sports drafts, etc. People like guessing and using their imagination. Sometimes they are right, often times they are way off. Who cares as long as it is all in good fun and people are enjoying themselves?

I hope he has more than an intro to base those tweets on because if there is a person qualified to say such things, it would be Brad... if he really got actual insight on EqNext.

I'm going to have to say, you, my friend, are much more creepy then the ones you are calling creepy.
"WHY" do you ask?
Lets use a simple analogy.
Your at the theater , waiting for a X rated movie to play , and you say out loud to everyone "your all creepy and weird for being excited over a new X rated movie, its the same as all the other ones, bla bla bla"
And yet, your still here waiting with everyone you called creepy to watch it.
Brad, despite everything that happened, can do no wrong in my book. If he's being honest, then we may be in for a real treat. I assume at LEAST he's referring to a seamless world.

I always wanted to play the MMO love child of EQ and VG. I cant believe the game is real.
Like in i cant believe its that way brad says it is. Iv been hoping for a game like this for so long and had my hope up way to much to get overly excited like EQN is my MMO messiah. As much as i want it to be i highly doubt that it will be. I hope that im wrong but history, MY history, would beg to differ.
If BM said the sky was blue, I wouldn't believe it until I could verify it myself. That turd shouldn't ever be allowed near any type software under development EVER!

He's working on EQ1, not EQN.
One Word: Vanguard Next.
Ok, that's two words, but we're talking hype!
Still, I am happy so far about the hype.

phasing sucks, instancing sucks, player base splitting sucks, way of least resistance mode sucks, easymode..sucks.
It's all themepark land. EQ Next is a sandbox, in case you forgot.
It's either going to be EvE in fantasyland or it will royally fail.
You say this yet you Kickstarted a game that is 100% PvP based?
Previev of an intro ... that is not even hot air.

You can't get any creepier then that.
Vanguard was a shining gem in a sea of AAA shit.
