I'm not sure what all the griping on this forum is about. Take a 15 year old game and throw the newest technology into it and EQ Next is right where it should be. Personally I like more realistic art styles, but I'm fine with the direction they are going. I just hope that the Barbarians aren't lumbering giants like in GW2. If this is the direction MMO's are going, I think SOE just added a lot of new life into the genre.
I'm really excited by the potential this game has in regards to crafting and exploration and I can't wait to participate in the raising of Halas as was mentioned.
To all the people who are really trying to downplay the recent news, and it's quite obvious you are, how many of you jumped at the chance to sign up for beta, I'll bet not a single one of you missed that boat, save your excuses as to why, we all know you did.
I'll hold onto my money until EQNext comes out because I plan to play the hell out of that game, these games that come out until then can pass me by, now I just hope EQ1 and 2 can hold me over until EQNext gets closer to release.
Barbarian Shaman/Ranger/Monk, here I come!
FYI Beta sign-ups are back up on the EQNext website.
