So lets say Smed gives in.....

How far back would the game be pushed if Smed just said to hell with it and trashed all the work done on the character art style? They would have to redo all the character models, animations, armor and weapons and who knows what else. Would you be willing to wait it out for a more realistic look knowing that the game might be pushed back months, maybe years?

    It's not just the character models.  If they redo the characters, then they are redoing the whole concept.  I truly believe that the art style exists as it does because of the other technology they are using.  Forgelight, voxel consstruction, more action oriented combat than the first 2 EQ's.  All of those things have draw calls and send packets to the servers and I think they drew the line at making the characters high poly and went with a low poly count so they could have an easier time with updating character positioning, loading times, sending/receiving packets, lag etc.

    I don't think they are going to give in on this.  It's not a big deal for 12million WoW players, and they have already proven they aren't going after the EQ1 and EQ2 fanbase.
