I haven't seen anything that has went into that much detail about factions yet. If they haven't addressed that yet, I'm sure they will prior to launch.

I'm not sure grouping even matters in this game. On the class panel discussion, the devs said you will be responsible for keeping yourself alive in groups (that is bring your own heals). If faction hits aren't shared amongst the group, then I would assume that means kill credit will not be either, thus why group? Just for the chat box?
