About endgame for carebears?

Hello,
Since I have heard that the leveling in this game is very fast, is there anything to do for a non pvp-player once they reach the level cap? I like pvp, but some people I know who are going to buy the game ain't really that fond of it.

Thank you

    Know this though:
    1. If you play through everything, you'll likely be max level before you're finished anyway (not even sure exactly what "finished" would be even).
    2. There are hundreds of skills in the game, but you'll probably have only 30-40 by max level. Your character development is by no means over if you don't want it to be.
    3. Supposedly, you will be able to change your secondary class, opening up any number of new options and play styles.
    4. A lot of the content is intended for the "end game" crowd, such as the WaW stuff, where even a full team of levels 20s can be easy creamed.

    If you think you're "done" at 20, and can just roll over the whole game with no more challenge or fun, then you'd be mistaken. Some people say the game doesn't even get started until 20.

    whats the point of fighting monsters if u dont gain anything? i'm sorry but if i wanted to true skilled action i would go play cs, not a point and click. i like fighting in RPGs, but with no progression the dungeons will seem boring.

    ::Game Played::
    Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, Everquest 2, Lineage 2, Ragnarok Online, Maple Story, Mabinogi, & Final Fantasy 11.

    You gain items and experience (experience still gets you more skills, and attribute refunds).

    But their IS progression. You can still get new character skills and specializations (I believe) not to mention newer and better gear. You have 4 gear slots for a reason...

    I wouldn't worry about it.  There is plenty to keep you busy up to level 20 (I'd say 40 hours gameplay).   The classes are varied enough too it would be fun even with no PvP'ing to play around with different builds after 20, which you can spend time after 20 finding new skills and earning points to switch around your stats.  Besides, I think a lot of people who are carebear in other MMO's will likely learn to like PvP in GW once they realize how fun and different it is.  It is not a gank-fest, it's more like playing Magic: The Gathering with good graphics and a pool of 150 cards (of which you can use 8 for any given battle).

    I never considered Guild Wars to really be a PVE Game though it has it, the entire focus is GUILD /WARS/ if youre not into PVP don't play GW really. Since it doesnt have a monthly fee I guess the 50$ could justify going thru the PVE game and then putting it down like any normal RPG, but I dunno, seems silly.
