To be brutally honest, I can't recommend any of them.  All the big titles suck.  All the little titles suck mainly because they either don't spend enough time developing their game (featurless), or they don't have enough money to devote enough time.

Eve is ok, but it has very little content.

do what i done. For the past 6 month i been playing wow but.. i no longer like the game so i started playing games that offer free trails/or are on open beta.

so far i have played:

EQ2

EQ

Horizon

GW

Shadowbane

FFXI = this one you have to have a previous account with them and use the return to vanadiel promotion

I Finally found a game to play wile i wait for the next big thing (RFonline ?) i got GW and been playing that now hopefully it will last me till eather RF. lotr or D&D comes out.

You should do like Julio say and try the new combat system.

 

However such a combat system, where everything is based on the levels(where you get a multiplier depending on level difference, WoW take it partially as well), come from a game like CoH.  Quite different from SWG and have very little in comon, however, it wont be a travesty of a game, you will see the system for what it really is, rather then see a travesty of it.

It depends a lot on what you want.

For Fantasy PvP there are WoW, DoaC and Shadow Bane.

For Historical FPS PvP there is World War II Online.

For Sci-Fi FPS PvP there is Planet Side.

For Sci-Fi PvP Anarchy Online.

For PvE that is good... Well I dunno, all the purely PvE games I've seen recently have bored me to tears.

Well ok except CoH, but even that got boring after a few months.

i have read that some people want me to try the new CU i have and i did not like it... and all my friends are quiting the game so it no fun...

... Iam going to start to play guild wars... and i have canceld my SWG account...
