You can easily use 8 key action bar with console+controller or pc+controller combo.

Maybe thats the thing behind it?

He does - why? To have lots of people talking - more hype, it keeps EQN in the news.

What else did the video show - that *everyone* else had it running on their PCs without Oculus Rift.

If they were really going after OR support - you'd see many devs have it.

The game might support it - but it won't require it.

 

Also 8 skills explained:

4 weapon skills - X,O,Δ,square

4 class skills - left/right upper/lower triggers

PS4 is why

 

Not arguing the point, just making an observation.  But for PS4, i completely agree that was a strong factor in skill sets.

I'm not really sure why people think the action bar has something to do with consoles. 

 

Yes it would be pretty easy to figure that the PS4 will have an EQN version.   Beyond that... the few MMO's I played that had "controller" support or console options... were far easier to control more than 8 keys with.   Personally I hate console games in general but... FFXI was one of the easiest games to play due to using a controller... that I have ever played.

 

That said.. I hate having a screen full of hotbars just as much as I hate the average console game.   Of course anything but a caster in UO had pretty much... auto attack.
