Collectors Edition

DavidinWADavidinWA Member Posts: 12

I rarely buy collector edition video games due to the fact that the game generally flops or fails to hold my interest (in MMO's). But I am eager to hand over cash for a collector's edition of this game. I realize though that the game is free to play, I wonder if they will be releasing collector editions purchases.

So, would you purchase a collector's edition if they sold them? What would you want to come with it? Do you think they will sell one?

when has sony not sold a collectors edition?

It would be more prudent to guess price. Im willing to bet this one breaks the 200 dollar mark, complete with some action figure, sound track and cloth map. And a book of some sort.

Well, if a 2-bit game like Neverwinter can launch with a $199 "Founder's Pack" (all digital), then I'd say EQNext should be able to charge at least $299 for a digital CE, with the physical version around $400 including action figure, book, CD's, etc. image

Would I buy one at that price ? Hell no, but I'm prepared to bet they'll be "sold out" a week after they hit the shelves...

I might buy a collector's edition, even though the only one I've bought in the past was for a game (WAR) that disintegrated before the shrinkwrap hit the floor.

If it's going to be $150 or something like that, then no way.

Trend has went from 80 to around 150 now. Sony will like 150 plus me thinks.
