Open Beta (4) questions.

I bought the digital collector's edition a few days ago and it's registered on my SE account but I'm lost what to do now, I would like to use this account for the beta and early access but I don't find a client download anywhere, nor any articles or news related to it.

 

Anyone kind enough to explain what I have to do to join both?

If you made your digital purchase after the 31th of july, your headstart code will be sent in the second batch on august the 16th, well in time for headstart which is on the 24th. Just register the code you recieve by following the instructions in the mail it arrives with.

 

As to Open beta, you will need to apply for beta. If you did not apply and register a code by late july, you will have to do so on the 16 or the 17th as beta key registration is currently offline and wont open untill phase 4 beta or OB as you call it starts.

(this to me is really very strange, but there was a warning on the Lodestone about registering beta keys for phase 4 because the page for registration would be taken down untill the start of the beta. I dont know wether you can just immediately apply and register the code on the 17th in order to enjoy the beta, but thats what you have to hope for. I would have expected you to automatically qualify for beta when you made your purchase, but Im not sure that they run things that way)

The beta download isnt up yet. I suggest checking the Lodestone for when the client is available. It is possible you could get hold of the downloader and download the client prior to getting a key for the beta.  In any case it is highly unlikely that with only a weekend of OB that the download would be released on the same day as beta starts. I would expect it within the next few days.

If you participated in earlier beta phases on the same account as you registered your digital purchase on, you are automatically able to play from the 16th, a day prior to new beta participants.
