Interesting that they have a sure schedule for release. Particularly in light of their promises for Beta release (ie being a more stable and feature complete program than we are used to.)  Makes me wonder where they really are with the game.

I think what he's referring to is letting us in on info they're choosing not to tell us yet.  Regardless, I think they're farther along then some people think.

i think they are more further along, at least in feature lists than most people think.  I am pretty sure the lack of details at SOE Live wasn't because they didn't know, but its because they will be slow rolling this all out over the next year or so to keep up the interest.

I agree, but I don't think it's going to be a year until it's out. Signing up for beta signed you up for both Landmark and EQN, so I'm thinking that the betas are going to overlap a bit.

It benefits their 'hidden marketing' approach to have people discuss unknown ... because then they get free suggestions out of us.

They are probably a bit farther along with the core systems than people think.

I wish it was playable now and they released it and wow lost 4 million subs overnight, would be so awesome.

They said there are three phases to Everquest Next. Phase 1 is the Round Table, Phase 2 is Landmark, and then Phase 3 is release.
