You can't really quantify the EQN graphics in a Good/Bad/Mediocre category, since that is fairly subjective to begin with.

I think most people that dislike the character model in EQN were just surprised to see the Final Fantasy/Warhammer 40K overly-exaggerated  cartoonish art direction.

Also in the TBD category - 7 foot long, 400 lb swords. God I hate seeing those.

(Should work very well in the asian release with the 5 tons of armor though)

The above is my personal opinion. Anyone displaying a view contrary to my opinion is obviously WRONG and should STHU. (neener neener)

I'm sure there'll be character customization, somewhere in there will be a face you'll be fine with.

Or maybe there'll be a bunch of sliders.   I don't think they've really said anything about the character creator yet.

They will be using EQ2's style of facial creation for sure. How do we know? Because they are pairing it with the (optional) cam feed, that reads your own facial movements and translates it to your toon. You talk, and your toon mouths it out. You kiss, and so does your toons face, and many other things.

Can other MMOs out there do this?

Are you willing to overlook the stylized art style for this vast improvement in immersion? If not, then I suggest you just keep moving on to other games, since this doesn't seem to be the game for you.

Strong art style beats "realism" any day, when we are talking about games that are supposed to be around for 10 years or more. Just look at LotRO, which was hailed as a realistic looking game at the time. Look at Age of Conan, one of the most realistic looking games at its launch.
