medals, badges, titles i would like too see these some easy to obtain obviously but the hard ones actually able to put on my armour too show them off.. i really think it would be awesome idea.

That would be kinda neat, as long as the medals make sense lorewise, imo... like the old Badge of Qeynos questlines or whatever.

Also, I bet that would fit pretty nicely into the technology framework for environmental effects on armor (see my post on "An Elegant Solution for Armor Customization" -- http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion2.cfm/thread/393277/An-Elegant-Solution-to-Armor-Customization.html).

      I"m all for it.. It reminds me of a futurist game I envisioned where character progression was based on minimal level increases (ranks) and various medals, ribbons and titles just like the military..

Big whipeedoo. Don't think I have ever bothered with any of them. I think dev's spend too much time on this sort if window dressing and not enough on combat.

This is something I loved that Warhammer Online did well imo.

 

You could get various trophies and things for doing certain tasks, exploring, finding secret area's, etc.

 

Then you could take these trophies and actually place them onto your armour and show them off.
