Aventurine says NO to 2500 customers

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/darkfall-10-server/

The situation of darkfall is going down slowly after 5/6 months after release..

For some people unholy wars is a fun game but due to the very slow patching and content missing people are leaving is rapid pace..

During beta some guy made a petition about leaving 1 //  1.0 server open next to unholy wars

The people who mostly voted @ this petition are the same players or so called vets who sticked with darkfall 1.0 till the end..

these 2500 players are more players then the eu server currently have despite these facts AV says NO to this customers..

What is the most logic thing for  a nichy company to say to his own customers?

Why do you think that av says no to his own playerbase?

There game they're choice on what they wanna do. Player can give them suggestiong but its up to the devs on what they wanna do, if devs did what player wanted blindly u get rubbish. Although i do agree they need 2 get patches out quicker since half the things in DF1 arnt in DFUW yet and u would think they would be able to add them quicker than they currently are.

Limited resources, desire to keep entire player base in same world are two reasons right of that I can think of. Also 2500 customers is a rounding error for almost every MMO out there, heck doesn't even interest those who run free shards which almost every old MMO has.

If thats not a sign that AV pulled a NGE on us what is it then.

If they did add to DF1 all the promised Darkfall 2010 changes with armor specializations and prestige classes and added local banks, worked out the kinks of the alignement systenm and added dynamic mob spawns and wandering mobs and made regional ressources allowing for caravans nd cargo ships which would attract true pirate playsytle and escort sytle naval options it would have survived but that arena style guild deathmatch over unintersting static spots that DF:UW is today will die qt some point the more complex sandboxes release.

    3 things determines outcome.

    Supply, Demand, profit.

AV has the supply, but the demand is not there thus they will lose money if they open DF1.

AV made the decision to shutdown DF1 based on economics and business reality instead of emotion. They are pretty certain DF1 will not bring them the profit they need.

If you can find someone with deep pocket, then they can buy DF1 from AV (or buy AV) and release the game.  Or you can start a Kickstarter to raise enough money to license DF1.

Frankly I rather see all DF1 vets leave DFUW and play DF1 instead of constantly bad mouthing DFUW and engaging in negative propaganda to destroy DFUW.
