game registration setup question

svannsvann Member RarePosts: 2,230
Im a little uncertain whether I will be ready to go when this game goes live.  On lodestone I can see my 1.0 character (which I plan NOT to play), but when I look at the square enix site - my profile - registered games, it shows no registered games.  Is that ok?  If I try to register my original game the number length does not match up to the S/N I have in my box.  Should I just hang tight for now, or do I need to figure this out?

S/E has a couple of different "accounts"

This is the official Final Fantasy account page (for NA at least, not sure about JP/EU)
    https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/Login?cont=account
As of right now this is where I see all my FFXI and 1.0 information, as well as my Beta access for ARR. I don't see anything about my pre-order status here.

It is due to be upgraded very soon. It's possible it will be merged with the other S/E account system:
    http://na.square-enix.com/us/home
This is the site where a lot of people are saying their pre-orders are showing up now. The only thing I see on this site is my FF7 Online status (from Steam). A lot of people have console game information here too.

S/E accounts historically have consisted of 2 parts, a Service account and a Character account.

The Service account is basic access to the game. It's like $9.99/mo. Then you have to add character slots on top of that, 1 character slot is $3.00 (brining the total up to the $12.99/mo you see). Additional characters cost you a bit more, I think you get 8 for $5.00?

Those prices may change, and may not even be accurate, it's just about what I remember from FFXI and from 1.0.

    Thanks a ton!

I was really confused about all this. This is exactly what I am seeing. FFXIV and FFXI on my original account and newly registered FFXIV (pre-order-only-2.5-euro) service on another SE site. Now at least I know I'm not alone in this boat :)

I guess what's left for all of us is to wait and see...

Ditto I have my early access set to the newer account and the 1.0 in the older account. Not sure if they are the same. both same login and email only the older one has the key code to get in...

G2play early access code doesnt seem to be going through, and no sign of it on the account page.

    :-(

I did a test changed password on the old account and it changed for both accounts. so they should be linked.

New accounts are sorta messed up I read somewhere: older registered games are not showing... still there just not showing. So we should be good to go
