Active service account - Final fantasy XIV - Cancel service

helaciousshelaciouss Member UncommonPosts: 15

Let me premise by saying it is ridiculous in this day and age, that we simply don't have a clear cut manner in knowing we are registererd for the pre-release or not ...

My account says the following: Under active service accounts, it shows Final fantasy XIV. With a cancel button next to it.  I am "hoping" that active service means that I my account is ready for the early access. No way of really knowing though. Quite frurstrating.

Registered date: Sept 04, 2010   This is when I signed up for the original beta ... Uh oh is what I see here. Apparently there is little to no chance that what it currently shows means anything good, lol.

I've liked FF14 so far, but square's account management setup is the worst I've seen from any company.

That's one thing that carried over from 1.0 for sure.

Nah that isnt even where it tells you, its where the list of all services is in text, if you have early access as a 1.0v ( legacy paid up) account then it will say in the list final fantasy xiv legacy..

its a farce as everyone knows,, you got like a dozen square enix login account sites its appaulingly bad. Also if you go to the EU square enix site and login with ones details it asks u to fill out a new to be known by nickname and yet it still picks up on your original login details with email address and personal info.. but.... in the list of games it shows you have nada games and to top it off there is no key code entry for a 4-4-4-4 field :D its all the new fandangled shit they have these days..

Still waiting to see in any info is around on when our supposed keys from 1.0v are allowed to be entered..

If you look on the normal account management place all of us 1.0v users have used in past though it does say next to the active service of ffxiv -

    Code registration currently unavailable.

so maybe its yet again another long ass waiting game when this stuff should of already been in place.. wonder if it will be a great balls up of nobody from 1.0 getting to play :D

I am not a legacy since I never subscribed to original game after the original beta. But I assume you are correct that I am not "properly" registered for early access yet.

    more than likely..

not paid in past for 3mnths game time ur not geting early access with a 1.0v service account.

adding bought early access keyse to 1.0v service account is probably a no go either :D

just suck it up and login on the 27th.

or buy the game on pre order again for a simple 3 day advance.. worth it? doubt it.

Unfortunately, if you are not legacy (paid a total of 3 consecutive months), then you will NOT have early access. If you want early access, go out and buy the Ps3 Version of the game. You can register it under your current account, and you will be able to log in, both in the PC or the PS3.

Well since I alreay pre ordered from SE 2 weeks ago for access to early play ... I most certainly should be able to play on the 24th!

Early Access is for pre-orders, if you have a pre-order code or have pre-purchased the new FFXIV ARR, then applied the code to your SE account, you will have either two or three days of Early Access.

Legacy accounts do not by default get Early Access, they either have to apply a pre-order code or pre-purchase a second copy of the game.

lets see where it says you have to apply a pre order code for early access to 1.0v ,,,

you can not apply a pre order 2nd game code to your service, its one code per service, meaning u loose the use of your 1.0v account therefor attached toons with it.. so one might as well just pre order a new game.... they tell you that on the SE site/info so that means also any "early access" codes bougth off site anywhere for low price cant be applied either as its for new service sign ups..

I didn't have any issues applying a FFXIV ARR CE to my FFXIV v1.0 account, still Legacy, still have access to my old character.

let see the screens of the services?

the old site management where 1.0v is does not allow code entry it says so here is screen

    http://gyazo.com/3364775b9f040936ef412eb7fc734a75

and the new sites for square dont seem to have the old accounts linked/showing yet on those sites..

so how is your ARR CE linked to your 1.0 account ,and how can you still say you have access to your old character when in last phase of beta till last night for sure no entry of codes were allowed....

see what im saying? you cant login either to the game now to see if you can use the old toon. just saying here, and looking for info, I dont see solidity in your claims thats all.

The hole issue was to do with 1.0 and aar/pre order/early access with 1.0 characters

you only have to search SE forum areas to find people fucking up accounts with multiple attempts on services.. while still wanitng 1.0 characters to have the pre order items.. hence the free shit only applies to CE 1.0 giveaways.

    good luck lol.

Beats me, I can't keep track of all the different sites they've had since FFXI came out, but my log in details I used for FFXIV, work for FFXIV ARR, on my account page I have FFXIV ARR CE listed and in Phase 3 and Phase 4 I had my Legacy character on a Legacy server.

yes it seems of course the general AAR new purchases etc is all simple wait for site etc and ur done.. but I hoping its not going to be a farce with migrated 1.0 accounts/early access or not/CE goodies and all that jazz..

What I would of done for the good of the peoples interests and the game as a whole is wipe the slate clean. anyone with 1.0 and new pre order accounts from aar get to log in regardless on the 24th say.. forget all this fooking 18 digit code 20 digit code 16 digit code rubish...

at end of day if u bought it ur entitled its not any simpler than that, if you originally bought it ur entlitled for 12 days free time before you need to register a payment type.

the funny thing is nobody says much you have to go ask support.. black and white writting is not hard to do we been doing it for donkeys years yet SE seem to like making account systems beyond retarded.
