With only 2 days to go until early access, I still have not received a code. I'm hoping that I didn't waste money on pre-ordering if I won't get early access and the bonus items that come with it.

    Here you go bro: http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/1kte4s/how_to_enter_your_preorder_codes/

If you ordered from SE, you should have immediately received a notification e-mail which is basically the receipt. This has your 18 digit pre-order code on it. This is the number you need to put in to receive the 20 digit early access code. Hope this helped.

The email they sent when I pre-ordered told me to wait for the code to be sent in the near future and gave me a link to a PDF which has the link to the code entry screen. So yeah, no code unfortunately.

Actually if you scroll down to the bottom of that e-mail it should list something like this:

    Product SKU: XXXXXXXX
Product Name: FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn [PC DOWNLOAD] (Pre-Ordered)
Anticipated Released Date: August 27, 2013
    Qty Ordered: 1
    Amount: $29.99

    Product SKU: PC Download
Product Name: FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Pre-Order Bonus Package
    Qty Ordered: 1
    Amount: $0.00
    Serial Number/Product Code: XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX

The 6-3-6-3 code is your pre order code you put into the link I gave in the first post. Then you receive the 20 digit code. Trust me on this and don't wait for SE to send you nd e-mail. The e-mail would be for those who didn't order through Square. I love Square-Enix, but they are fu**ing horrible at communication, but understandably so they have been having technical issues for trying to coincide a multiple region launch for a huge game.

If you ordered from SE then the email you get right after you order has a findmyorder link. Click on that, then the next page will ask for either your order# and password or your email and last 5 digits of the credit card you used to order.. Enter which ever you have and on the next page after that  will be your  XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX  code. Now go back to the email and at the bottom there should be a link http:// preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com. Go there, follow the directions and enter your code, get the next code and follow the rest of the directions after that LoL.

Well, that's how it went for me. Hope it works for you.

It looks like this information was inaccurate.

I bought the game on Sunday from Square Enix's European store, and FF XIV was automatically added to my account on Sunday. But now I recieved an e-mail from them giving me the early access code and telling I still need to apply it to my account.

This makes no sense at all, since it already shows on my account, and it shouldn't be possible that it's just my beta access because the "date added" shows it's added on my purchase date, which is later than what I started playing on beta. But, something called "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" got automatically added to my account when bought the game, and that something apparently did not give me early access, and I'll be damned if I know what that something is.

Vrika, you bought your game via SE Store which has nothing to do with your SE Account at all. Yes, sure, you are using the same Login-procedure, but in fact, you need another digital code to get into EarylAccess.

So one choice you are receiving  the 18-digit code, using the preorder-page to register and then. after succesfully that procedure,  you will be informed about the 20-digit-code

    or

second choice: you are receiving the 20-digit code directly from SE Store where you bought it.

After that twochoice you can register your pre-release key either before you login to the game on saturday or you are using the mogly link to register the code within your SE account.

Hoping that answered/cleared some questions ;)

    1. Pre-ordered 2x digital CE pre-orders on August 7th. Printed out the 18-digit codes immediately so I would have a hard copy, which was good because it took about 12 hours to receive my purchase confirmation email from Digital River.

    2. Both me and my wife registered our email addresses on the pre-order site, to be notified of when we could register our codes. Neither of us have ever received any sort of "go ahead", we just knew it was up from all the forum chatter.

    3. Finally got our 18 digit codes to accept last night after mine gave multiple Error 3's over the last 2 days. Printed out our 20-digit codes and entered them right away. It's been around 12 hours now, and still no confirmation email from SE with our 20-digit codes. Maybe they don't get emailed if you "use" them right away?

I've checked my junk folder as well as made sure that no SE related address is on my blocked sender list. I can get email fine from SE support, and I got an email from SE Account Management when my FFXIV ARR beta account was automatically set up for Beta 4.

Has anyone else who purchased from SE North America actually gotten any sort of correspondence from SE regarding their purchase/pre-order/codes/etc outside of the Digital River purchase confirmation?

I've tried 1 or 2 times a day for the last couple of days to enter my pre-order code. Was able to do so successfully an hour  ago. I didn't receve any emails from SE telling me to do so (checked spam folders of course).

That said, since my pre-order email gave me the codes and stated very plainly that I should go to http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ and enter them (presumably before  Saturday), I figure it's at least partially my responsibility to remember to do so wether I got an email telling me it was OK to do so or not.

If the site was still down Friday night and I couldn't enter them at that point...sure. Rage away. It wasn't down (as of a bit ago) so...move on.

Pretty sure most people know SE has had some hiccups this week, some major and some minor. They seem to be getting fixed.  That is what needs to happen when something is broken and it seems to be occurring.

If folks want to find fault with 'the past' they are wasting thier time but to each thier own.

For me and mine, looking forward to 08/24 with great anticipation.

Maybe this will be helpful to some, for I too thought I didn't have the right 'codes' or information... So I checked my emails again.

I got 2 emails when I pre purchased the game.

One appears as from "SQUARE ENIX". that had my beta code. That was the obvious one.

There was a second email that I missed some how.... from "webhelp.v4@digitalriver.com" <<< this email has the information I was missing...

Ive wasted $30 then because I deleted the email right after getting it and saving the PDF. Partially my fault but square certainly isn't very good at pointing out pertinent details.

Oddly enough, there's no record of my purchase with SE in my banks transaction history.
