How can guildwars have such good graphics over the internet???? can anyone explain how this actually works.

Because the graphics in any game exist on your computer, not on the internet. The game doesn't send graphics over your internet connection. Then only thing the game has to do over your internet connection is send information such as where your character is, what action you are performing, etc. Everything else is a file on your computer that your computer uses to create the images on your monitor. Your character? File on your computer. That blade of grass? File on your computer. Another person that's playing? Just another file on your computer.
