We mailed a bunch of FAQs to Ethan, about how the Indiegogo perks are updated according the new Kickstarter perks, and about the Kickstarter perks themselves.
Here´s the link to the relevant thread on the D:O forums.
Here´s the list of FAQs as of now; (perhaps the most important is that Ethan has confirmed that Indiegogo supporters have access to the Alpha right now). I´ll try my best to keep this thread updated, but If you have any questions, better post them in the link above.
Those wanting to chat with those already in the Alpha, feel free to hop into teamspeak: T325.DARKSTARLLC.COM:10545. There´s no fixed schedule right now, but most testers and Ethan himself can usually be found around 1-2am UTC.
ABOUT THE INDIEGOGO PERKS, AND HOW THEY ARE "TRANSLATED" TO KICKSTARTER PERKS
1) Q: The first Indiegogo Perk ($10) offered a Beta access, to be delivered in July. What does it grant now?
A: Access right now.
2) Q: The "Land Grab" Indiegogo perk: when will it take place?
A: Undetermined because the launch isn't set yet.
3) Q: When will the Speedsters and HARDDs be introduced?
A: September
4) Q: What does the "Vindicator *AND* Verrator" perk get?
A: Confidential and unannounced. We don't offer those perks any longer and probably never will again.
(Note: this was asked because it has been stated that the “Vindicator *OR* Verrator" perk gets a Tier 2 suit)
5) Q: Does Tier 2 Veli come pre-equipped with upgrade suits or are those merely placed into the inventory?
A: It's a choice to "use" your suit upgrade but players who try to "squeeze as much life out of their T1 as possible" put themselves at great risk to be victimized by other players who elected to take their upgrade imediately. Anyone petitioning to have their Veli restored because they were killed by a Tier 2 when then chose to stay with their T1 won't be compensated.
6) Q: Does the “Solitus + Upgrade” perk get any bonuses?
A: Yes. (Although I can't tell the specifics without giving out #4).
7) Q: What´s the status of people that put $200+ at Indiegogo?
A: They get the Alpha Gold Kickstarter perk (with access to all human breeds, Lokri, and D-Tanix)
ABOUT THE KICKSTARTER PERKS
8) Q: Which human races/breed can clone?
A: All humans breeds, and also the Lokri.
9) Q: Can Ennies clone?
A: Yep!
10) Q: Will you be able to wear cosmetic items on top of actual armor? Like, for example, wearing medium/light armor under trench coat or the other way around?
A: In some cases yes in some cases no it depends on whether the seams for the parts are compatible or not. There is a complex layering system for determining top, medium, and lower level clothing and armor.
11) Q: What´s the pricing model?
A: In general, as described in this mmorpg.com interview (published 14th August),
Additionally: First Gen Solitus will be unavailable for any price. Depending on the activity of our existing ones we might have to open it up again briefly but otherwise the breeds and species will be available based on how close to the "full retail" the account has come with purchases and perks already. Once they reach the "gold level" contribution level they have all the species and breeds advertised for that perk and are considered to be in posession of a "full retail" version of the game.
12) Q: what mechanics get funded by this particular Kickstarter?
A:Inventory, Basic Combat, Basic management of player items and posessions and improved character creation and customization. Additionally, more assets such as clothing, armor, chassis, structures and parts.

Y U NO FLIP TABLE?!?!?!
If you contribute the enough for the gold level perk, you get alpha access. The game is up in an alpha state already. If you're truly interested, it's not hard to find this information. I believe Ethan personally emails people who donate enough to gain access.

How much money have you spent on steam games that you played once and never touched again because it's all the same as every other fps/mmo in the genre? How much have you spent on BS pay to win scams or games where you must continually pay for power just to keep up or enjoy the game? Well, here's a game that's not going to collect dust on your list of games made by EA, nor will it tax your wallet with weekly microtransactions. Ethan is a cool, hardworking gamer guy who wants to make a game that he would enjoy playing (HE WANTS TO SHARE HIS IDEAL GAME WITH YOU). You don't have to help him, but his game sure looks cool. Just give the Divergence forum a look, a lot of the concepts are there already, and decide for yourself how much money it might be worth to make a game like this a reality.
The species available in the game are quite amaing, the environment will be nearly entirely destructable, and it will be the first sandbox survival mmorpg of it's kind. http://www.divergence-online.com/phpbb3/viewforum.php?f=8
The Skill system resembles SWG. Crafting will be deep. There is already block construction and some terrain manipulation tools. Player combat is on the way after the current kickstarter. There's a very limited number of animated assets so far, but Ethan is hinting at creatures getting thrown into the mix soon.
Casner intends for players to work with his development team to lead the main factions and world events of the game. That way players drive the world entirely. Ethan is highly influenced by his time participating in the player-run story of Anarchy Online, and he will bring that element into Divergence. You can find out more about this on his wikipedia page.

Bash games with million dollar budgets for not coming through with what they should have. Ethan does alright with what he's got, and he'll keep chuggling along until the work is done. I look forward to meeting a few more mmorpg folks soon. Just give him a chance and be open minded. Indy games can only happen with the support of the gaming community.
Thanks for taking the time to read all that if you did. I'm very stoked for the game and the progress that has been made, and I want more people to be too.
