redemption site locked to wrong region

How do I set my region?  The redemption site keeps sending me the wrong code because it thinks Im in the european region.  When I mouse over my profile on the redemption site it shows eu.square-enix.com/en/account.  I dont see a way to fix that.  Is there a setting anywhere where I can set my region?

edit2: secure.square-enix does show me as in The Americas region

edit3: that theory is busted.  I went back to redemption page and found that it had logged me out.  I logged in and found that it was seeing my profile in the correct region.  Hooray!  But it still gave me wrong region code.  boo!
