Does your characters birthday actually do something?

in Final Fantasy XIV

I noticed during character creation which god you select gives you minor bonuses to different resistances depending on which you select.

 

Does birthday have some minor effect also? Haven't seen anything.

    From what I've heard it affects resistances depending on moon phase.

    Would be cool if SE sent us a present on our "birthday" kinda like how GW1 did with minis, lol.
