Best GAME remade in history and best game with no competition till ESO

So here it is, the revamp and rebirth of a game.  It's shocking just how updated the graphics are in this game and all the things added after the revamp, things such as jumping look so smooth as if it was always part of the game.  The graphics have gotten a whole overhaul and look so real life its amazing. 

No MMORPG out at the moment even comes close to the graphics this game has at the moment, and will definatly look good for the next ten years.  ESO will have a hard time even trying to compete with this game.

This MMORPG will be the best game out with no competition until ESO this next spring.  Amazing Graphics that use modern graphics quality and great game features.  Good job to the Producers on listening to the players.

The graphics may be good and I admit they are.  But to say its the best game with no competition is reaching quite a bit.  Why would you even give them another chance and check this game out after what a train wreck the original was?  The gameplay is nothing fancy and nothing I haven't seen in other mmos.  I see this as just another themepark mmo with a few dynamic events thrown in minus the battle pets which will get boring quick once you hit max level.

You only really mentioned the graphics... which weren't that bad...or bad at all before hand. In fact I'd say 1.0 graphics (not talking about cut-paste areas) were better than any game currently out, and would be better than any game out now (minus 2.0).

 

The gameplay, which is what matters, is leaps and bounds better.

then go and play all those new and shiny mmorpgs with spaceships, aliens, true action combat, dinosaurs, first person targeting and rift oculus compatibility

Yes, but I really don't think they learned their lesson.  I drank the kool-aid with the first one, I won't do it with this one just because i loved playing FFXI.  Maybe in a year if the reviews are great I will jump in.  At this point though I think people need to look at how bad the original was before buying the remake.  Another thing that sets me off is that after the first flopped so horribly they actually have the nerve to put a box price on it AND a subscription.  Sorry not drinking the kool-aid on this one yet just because of the hype.

I know it's hard for you to focus on this though. But all the hype around any game here is based on flavour. Just like the real world.

You think...hype has to do with what's up and coming. I'm here to tell you that it's not. You can try and focus it's definition to MMO's, but you cannot change a definition.

maybe its a great Remake but not the best mmo atm imo(although it all depends on your taste and experience too) although from what OP wrote doubt he/she has that much experience,no offense,also not a great thread but its alright since we are all hyped for it.(or maybe he is just trolling which is good 4 him )

for me gw2 is the best for now (it also has great graphic too) sadly some like to bash it cause they didn't manage their expectations and some other reasons.although this doesn't stop me from trying FFXIV: ARR too.i know its not gonna be epic and if it gets lucky it will get an average of 8-8.5/10 from critics probably(imo it deserves around 8/10 too or maybe more but if it gets less its mostly because of the bad first impressions the game has or bad impressions from V1.0 that's why ppl probably shouldn't rely on critics for this one) .guess MoP is good now too since the siege of Orgrimmar is about to begin but ppl say there are even more dailies and grind to do than before so i will wait for next expansion hoping for more focus on Kiljaeden or Sargeras so at least it worth the grind.

also EQN,ESO,WS,AA and many other promising titles are gonna be great too as long as ppl manage their expectations and know what they are getting themselves into...ppl sadly put "wow killer" tag on many big mmos while wow is dead already.8m or 100m player playing it doesn't make game alive(updates with fresh and more interesting contents do)it just shows that many are addicted and can't let it go.if they reset things with WoW 2 or something doubt that many will stick around after 3 months of its release unless it has the same magic as old WoW which i doubt since blizz is losing its touch that's why WoW 2 won't happen probably for a long time(not saying it won't be successful,i will be playing that too if it happens just saying something like wow classic won't happen again anytime soon not just because it was epic but because it also got released at the right time with epic games to back it up)

 I tend to agree with OP, I have not really enjoyed any themepark MMO's in a long time...I dislike Rift, TSW, WOW  so on...Always been a purist and enjoy RPG heavy or sandboxes.

But ARR is a really fun game, it keep the RPG aspect heavy within the game, unlike most which are more focused on the grind and gear etc, FFXIV ARR seems more focused on the gameplay, RPG and world....Crafting although not overly complicated is way better than any other mainstream game out there atm...that would fall into a themepark category...even then i would have to say Eve...probably the only one better from the mainstream...top 5-10 MMOs atm.

Not saying the game will be for everyone, but it is definitely better than anything else around atm and anything that is due out until say the Repop, black desert or TESO...which will prob flop with their greed based sub system.

BTW I did try the original as well, bought it off gamestop for 10$ i believe last year and yes it was terrible, I couldnt bother past lvl 10, but for me to play the beta and have a complete change of heart...imo says a lot.

FFXIV: ARR should win the MMORPG of 2013 award....as all the competition simply sucks this year...and sucks bad.

This game is a crafter's wet dream. I have played  all the major Theme Parks. WoW, WoW TBC, WoW Wrath, WoW Cata, WoW MoP, Rift, TOR, GW2, TSW,  and several others. After 3 betas (missed the 1st) I can say, of all the games listed above, Not since WoW TBC have I felt like I had so many options and things to do to occupy my time in an MMORPG.

ESO also looks great, both games are on my list of playing. 

I even think most ESO people will love this game and play it until or even longer then ESO launch.

ESO is a micro themepark with no raids. Trinity is minimized and with the promise AI will not make the game a zerg. Yet to see a MMO pull that off. Its designed as a console game first and a PC MMO 2nd. With box price + Sub + cash shop. I dont see FF14 having to worry when you peal back the layers. FF14 fans will be getting fun stuff for free every month and at events while ESO fans will be paying for them in a cash shop. We have raids and DAoC style PvP and housing. ESO has no housing or guild halls. I wont touch ESO till it goes F2P. Even then only between raid nights in FF14 lol 

Also ESO will be going head to head vs EQN. Who do you think will win that, and EQN is F2P?
