Dragoon: Classes Question

I am going to go for Dragoon as my first official job. My question is, if I start by getting PUG to 15, can I then simply port over to the lancer area and lvl it up to 30? Or do I have to do lancer first?

You can do pug first.

You can do it in any order you'd like. You can even go for other classes or jobs first. Once you have 30 lancer and 15 pug you can unlock dragoon.
