Need help looking for a game

As the title suggests I'm looking for a good game that I can sink some time into again. Something to look forward to after a long day, etc.

My requirements are as follows and any help would be appreciated.

• Online/Multiplayer. Can be massive or lobby.
• Some sort of progression, even small.
• Can be fps, action, tab-targetting, whatever.
• Any payment model, cannot be p2w unless such 'gear' is also attainable through a free method if the work is put in.
• Something fairly new, decent population.
• Can be pvp-focused or pvp/pve.

It is a fairly broad outline, but for some reason I'm finding difficulty in finding such a title that I haven't already played, most recently played was NWO, which ticked a lot of boxes but fell short in the end.

Uuh.. There is also Starmade but that's more of a Sci-Fi minecraft than an MMO but I'm a sucker for Sci-Fi games. Which is why I need to find out where my Freelancer disc ran off to and find some awesome private servers to play around in.
