Cant make up my mind Ranger or Pugilist

I like being a ranger but from what I understand there will be a time I have to become a bard? What the fuck is a damn bard doing .... not DPS  I figure. So I am thinking of going Pugilist to Monk. What do you guys think. 

 

I love shooting arrows but dont want to be a a weak ass bard. Any thoughts on this?

Bards are dps with some support abilities. They do as much damage as the other dps, maybe just a little less.

Bards do as much dmg IF they dont have songs going. Otherwise they suffer a 20% dps loss while their songs are active, but make up for it by boosting the overall dps of the party.

Barde is full dps. So you will be fine.

actually, according to some (many) Bard is more then competitive damage dealer, maybe the very best.  im not talking about people who have made assumptions, but those that have parsed it.  this is not the RIFT bard that buffs and aoe healed while doing low dps.

 

but you're kinda stuck with pugilist, as there i no ranger

dunno about barb but im 24 lvl archer and doing +4 difiicult levequests easy. can only die if leave char to auto shot and going afk. can kill 8+ higher mobs easy with kite if they melees, like most mobs are...

 

dont worry about dps. game dont have dps meter so no one knows ur dps. just do ur best. game is not very hard anyway:)

u dont need do dps rotations like in WoW so badly. 

 

oh yeah forgot say, archer can auto attack when move and use damage skills while move. its extremely easy avoid aoes to compare melee dps.

the game will have addon support eventually, dps meters for sure.  Yoshi-p has already said there are/will be fights where a certain amount of dps is required.

should not be proplem. u got 1-50 lvl time training ur job. archer hardly got rotation. just heave shot,line shot,dot shot,heavy shot,heavy shot... mob 20% hp, use killshot, or what was it:> 4 button class so far.
