Just click on 'Block' over any one of his posts. Great idea by the way.

Definitely it's called use your self-control to not click on the thread and create multiple responses?

Well your posts are just such outrageous trollings I can't seem to help myself. It's like watching a trainwreck in slow motion and wanting so much to help. The biggest problem is you're completely serious. I guess I can just close the browser and laugh.

There was nothing trollish about his OP.

His analogies are a bit odd and not particularly well argued, I agree. Bringing those individuals into the picture wasn't even really necessary to make the argument, frankly.

The point he's making through it all is a solid one, however. The more successful something is, the more praise it receives, the more "haters" come out of the woodwork trying to tear it down.

Several of the responses he received to his OP were, in fact, troll-ish... which led to a bunch of tit-for-tat, "You!... No, You!... No,  You!" type mud-slinging.

That said, you have to admit this last post of yours is rather ironic.

Ok.. I am going to have to ask..

What is the point of your thread? To me it seems you are just picking fights. Seeing how you snap and trow a tantum when people dont have your point of view.

For now SE isnt winning yet at all, they still have Multi millions of dollars to make JUST to break even, regardless of how many are playing now or after the 27th, they havent won anything just yet.

^ highly accurate summary of this thread.

And to the notion that "cream of the crop black athletes" as not being racist at all.

The mere fact that you have to refer to them as black athlete as opposed to athletes (which is kinda an oxymoron anyways given have you looked at the NFL and NBA's racial make-up compared to national statistics?) indeed indicates some segregation in your head of white and black or w/e other athletes.

Your OP wasnt trollish, pretty much every response on the otherhand... those where kinna overheated, especially the earlier ones, wether you agree with them or not did not deserve the  anger you showed them.

I was in FFXIV 1.0 beta and launch, not only were the numbers incredibly smaller, the reaction of those of us in closed beta was extremely negative earning it worst game of the year honors, quite the contrary.

Not to mention did you read lets talk in 6 months? FFXIV was garbage at beta, launch, and 6 months down the line.

Oh but i did get an instant hater response so that does support some of my logic yes...

Ya'll only come out when this game is > than your current or dream mmo.

The raging fanboy pushes on to fight against the inevitable hordes of speculators and onlookers.

Chill out dude. It's gonna be a fun game, with subs for a while. Beta had a great response. Why are you provoking those who you wish not to talk to?

What you are trying to rub in their face is the exact principle you're arguing against.

Make a useful thread about the game, not the useless, boring hater meta. This site has too much 'I told you so' threads as is.

Perhaps talk about the class you've most enjoyed playing, and what aspects of the game you're looking forward to exploring.

It doesn't matter if they boo or cheer, as long as they are making noise.

Pretty sure this same 'this game is a success because of the haters' bull has been used by people on this forum for plenty of failed MMOs. I am sure it sounded good when it first rolled around in your head, and may score you a few brownie points with the fans, but it isn't based on reality. No one hate son things because it is successful. People hate on hints because the loud mouth fanbase keep making absurd assertions.

Can we wait the obligatory 3 months before claiming that a MMO is "winning".

Go enjoy your game, haters gonna hate, potaters gonna potate

They're winning, because I'm playing FFXIV...that's all that matters to me :)

The mere fact you had to cite all black athletes in the original post indicates "segregation in your head".

    See how that works?

The mere fact you need to stick your head in the sand and say "there's no difference" indicates "segregation in your head". Of course they're black and of course there are differences. It's how we work with those differences and respect the individuals which make us win over racism.

Do you imagine their doctors think, "well, there's no difference, so I won't test for sickle cell"?

Now, to stay on topic, here is chewbacca.

Technically speaking that just means you are winning image

I truely do hope this game to be succesfull and hope it will have longlivety for me, but sadly.. as it is the game is still in the losses..

Just think of the costs of creation and re-creation, they didnt get off on a good start, lets just hope the recreation lets them pick up and actually do reach the finish line, hopefully as winnners.

Passionate massive following of haters almost as much if not more than their fanboys.

Haters coming out in DROVES out of nowhere with something to say, in conjunction with more threads/posts i've seen in months on this website for any other game.

Servers are all struggling to stay online and maintain capacity when only those who paid to pre-order can even access the game?

Congratulations SE, you were the first to reboot a MMO and achieve such success and it has most definitely been confirmed by the evidence drawn above.

To those continuing to pray for F2P or the game shutting down in 6 months, I'll be here to read/remember all of your desperate threads/posts while also laughing at the hypocrisy while you continue to be bored surfing forums because other mmo's are trash or dead, or even worse your too embarrassed to bring up in comparison.

EDIT:  Haters does not = success.  Haters and success have an undeniable correlation.  If ALL you have is haters obviously its just massive fail, but the amount of praise this games been generating the last few months in conjunction with this insanely high number of haters DOES correlate with success.  As per the examples.  This thread was created after reading countless posters knock this games music, graphics, among other things i find to be reaching for an excuse to hate when compared to other games. While it could respectfully be someones opinion, i doubt it and find with the vast number of senselessness tossed around, find the hater correlation theory more plausible.

This is a horrible site for some needed positive reinforcement. It is full of bashers! I don't think any of them with negative replies actually play mmorpgs. ie, check out any GW2 thread and it's full of them.  I still don't understand what they get out of it. Your comment about the "shutting down in 6 months" is still pounding in my ears from anti-gw2 posters before launch! But look, still going strong without a single server shutting down or employee laid off.

Anyway, I am still on the fence concerning ARR. I played minimal during the beta and I love the graphics and music. The game looks solid and I may pick it up! (I will because I get them all!!).

    Good luck FF XIV: ARR

MJ and Kobe best to play the scoring guard position in the NBA. Ray Lewis best MLB in history.  Tiger Woods best golfer in the world.

I didn't cite all black athletes because they are black, i cited these individuals because they dominate at their positions, sorry to burst your bubble that black people have dominated in a variety of todays sports.

But if it makes you feel better Tom Brady, Jimmie Johnson, Lionel Messi, all would have made the point just fine, however i think their dominance at their position is a little more debatable...

And the sickle-cell comment with the "of course they're black and of course there are differences" makes you look even worse. Not every black person is tested for sickle-cell because they are black, and relating the medical field where genetic and family history is important for combating diseases for ALL races is a completely different discussion.

Short and simple, athletes are athletes doesn't matter their color.  However medical conditions vary for each individual where genetics/color of skin may be relevant for disease-prevention tactics.

Quite a stretch of a comparison on your end when we started with athletes from various positions/sports (that includes players of all colors) and you jumped to more prone-risk factors for varying demographics don't ya think?

servers Full on early acces and at launch day does not equal success. Every mmo has full servers on early access and at launch. Just making that clear. If the game becomes successful, then great!, but it wasnt because of early access full servers. Everyone is trying to play it at the same time now. If that constantly happens a year after it launches then yeah, OP's reasoning would be valid.
