JP servers up and NA/EU server down again??

Did they assign NA/EU the steam powered servers or what? Why has the JP community been so minimally interrupted compared to ours? Hopefully now they see that our servers need to be up to par with theirs. Sorry guys, I'm just fed up with encountering some random error every time I launch the game.
For the sake of discussion... I really enjoy the game so far (for what little I've played). I plan to work towards the Monk job. What Jobs are you guys working towards?
