Try it when they have less traffic and the request doesn't time out. It's highly possible your download code is fine, however the traffic is just to much and they can't process the request so it gets turned down. In other words....

Right before I logged on to get my 18 digit code , my account was locked. I then received an email saying my account might have been compromised and to change my password.....
then I log on and my registration code is invalid. did I get my code stolen off SE's own freakin website?? LOL!!
Quite possibly your account was compromised and it's invalid because another used it, which means someone guessed your password or it was generated by a random code thinger....
Next time try really obscene things, I make mine all sexual disgusting innendos with Caps and numbas....Like

I usually use words that wouldn't be in a code breaker, so cusses and things unsuitable to be posted here. Especially slang for sexual acts and genitals.
Also, contact them and verify you are who you are and get your code renewed. Have your payment info handy.

I also noticed if you try and register your game through the website you will get an invalid code but if you follow the link in the e-mail it works:)
I don't know if that helps, but I took my code from the e-mail then went to the website and profile and tried to use it and it was invalid, then went back to my email and followed the link and it workded:)
It has been frustrating you are right about that. Though I had this same problem as I had 2 preorder codes but one was european and on was north america, so I had to use each site respectively, you could try each one individually and see if one takes it. Doesn't matter which one takes it as it will go to your account correctly regardless.
