Online within 60 Minutes. Problems seem to be fixed.

in Final Fantasy XIV

With all these reports of not being able to get codes, play or log in. How could my friend in Switzerland do it in 60 minutes?

 He had no prior account or anything from SE, in fact he is more of a console player and i convinced him to try it.

Friend of mine bought the game today, downloaded it in 40 minutes, had no issues with account system or codes and created a character on a LEGACY server: Saragantas. I played with him 60 minutes after he told me he will buy it. I did not even help him with anything, he came on my mumble and told me he is in game in Ul'dah.

He had more issues getting the Headset working in Mumble than with the game.

Baffled.

PS: I am not saying that there are or have not been any problems, it just seems strange to me that he could do it without any help in about an hour while others report massive problems.

    Servers seem to be down atm unable to locate server list for na and eu atm, had no problems playing last 2 days only today getting world full, but lots of ppl trying to play, they need to add a logout timer would fix 90% of the problem.

    Ya mine went smooth and easy. Maybe its where they bought it from. I went with Game Stop (alot of rewards from my sons buying and selling ds games). There have been two times where game stop has messed up mine and others pre-order keys on MMOs.

    Yes you are an exception to the rule, because right now you cannot even create a toon on the NA/EU servers....much less log in with one. Another fail of a launch.

    Yes you are an exception to the rule, because right now you cannot even create a toon on the NA/EU servers....much less log in with one. Another fail of a launch.

     

    I am suspecting this only happens during US hours, since he had no trouble during EU hours. I can not explain it otherwise.

    I am not able to log in into the game.  Getting the "world is full" message again.

    Im getting 1017 on EVERY world.. honestly they are trying to tell me EVERY world in the entire game is all full at the exact same time? 

     

    I call BULLSHIT..

    actully its true they dotn have enough server hardware for the maount of people playing even japan is startign to have issues cause na is spilling over to there servers

    So bet you Japan gets new servers almost instantly if this is true.

    Japan was having issues today yes, but its hardly because of NA.

    The asian/australian crowd just came in on launch, thats all.

    There were issues since 5am NA time, are you going to claim NA was causing all JP servers to be full?

    (they were basically all locked, the same way NA/EU ones get locked during NA/EU prime.)

    all facilities are gettign new servers next week they annunced it under the japan congestion thing

    it says facilities not facilitie tho
