This is part of the reason why I'm sad that there's no PK in this game, because I would literally dedicate most of my time in griefing the CRAP out of those people (assuming I can figure out who they are). Fight a little fire with fire.
Instead, I do the same....except for the fact that my computer is crap and keeps DC'ing overnight.

I just got in.
There *is* a queue but its overcapacity, hence the error. I was like queue 250ish and then I was able to get in. The queue is throttling the login process, which I suppose is a minor improvement over the duty finder being the bottleneck.
Your pointing the blame finger in the wrong direction. There is a reason every other MMO has an idle auto-kick timer. Avoiding pressing a button for hours on end by staying logged in because the game will not auto-kick idle players is just using the games inept design to overcome the inept login process.

I simply wont blame the players for doing this. Its the system Square has given us. By not having a auto boot for afk they are telling players its ok to afk while at work so you can actually play when you get back. And with no queue its more of an exercise in frustration trying to get a spot if you don't afk than getting in a queue and going to do something else while you wait. Frankly I'm at the point the next time I get in is the last time I will log out until they figure something more reasonable out or I need to reboot. Which I will do late at night when I can log right back in before going to bed anyway.

All depends on the server architecture and how loads are handled. I get the impression that the problem is not with the number of people online, but the number of people DOING things online.
Hence previous issues with the duty finder. It just can't handle all of the requests.
It seems like the queue is experiencing the same problem, it's filling up and throwing an error. That is better than filling up and crashing, which is what the duty finder was doing.

Odd. I'm yet to see a queue. With the amount of servers the queue overload must be rather small, which is pathetic in its own right. I've been in queues where I've been over 10000th in line. Add more numbers to it so I can actually see how many people are in front of me and I will gladly stop bitching.

Yeah, I get the impression it's being super cautious because they aren't confident with their fixes yet. Also, they may really just want to make login difficult until they have the hardware upgrades in place.
I think that a part of the "fixes" was jacking down the caps -- server caps jacked down, and then they probably also reduced the queue so that the queue didn't crash (like it was doing when people were getting other random errors when trying to login). They basically jacked down the caps so that it runs, and everyone else is locked out. It would cycle a bit more if people were AFK booted, but at this point I'm guessing that this isn't more than 20% or so of the people that are logged in (which is, of course, bad enough).

A mature response for sure.

hahahaha I've been spreading this like wildfire. But seriously this is a very serious issue.
