Landmark is releasing winter, so I'm assuming December/January. This means that the core mechanics of the engine will be working: the voxel world, procedurally-generated landscape, environment creation tools, and server/network/etc. logistics.
I think this is a pretty significant portion of EQ:Next so I think Christmas 2014 release for the full game is reasonable. This will give them a full year to flesh out all of the class/combat mechanics, AI, build any non-procedural environments, and test/balance everything.
The outside world to be created, or even the individual dungeons are not procedurally generated, so it is unlikely that would be a necessary part of EQ:Landmark.
I believe the only procedurally generated content will be the underworld, from SOE statements. The surface exists with fixed Norrath map limits. .. players don't create procedural content, so giving them access to that in EQ:Landmark wouldn't make much sense.
The entire world will be proceduraly generated. What Georgeson said was that they will run the generator once for EQN then then the artists refine it. For Landmark each new server will have a fresh procedurally generated world and the players will be refining it. This way they can very quickly spin off new servers for Landmark and each server will be different. I am sure that the overworld has rules set in the generator that allow for the creation of the seperate areas; Feerot, Ashfang etc.
They have already shown how easy the tools make it to even completely terraform the world so I don't think it will take very long for the EQN world to be completed.

SOE never said the physical world would be procedurally generated.
Landmark is going to help fill in the "plots" of land in Norrath, as people create them. It's not endless.. lol.
Go by what you hear and see, not what you want to happen.
SOE specifically stated that the underworld areas are going to be procedurally generated. That is all they promise.
I'm going to guess EQN in fall or winter 2014. EQN:L uses the same game engine, so there's not much more to develop engine wise (I'm guessing).
EQN is sandboxie: so content is more or less mobs with AI (via Storybricks) "released" into the world. Meaning, no content mobs to be placed and balanced - saves time. Rallies are really the only "content" needing be put in, and those take months to complete. So they can technically release with only one Rally and add more as we finish out the first.

what about the instanced personal story they are creating for us? eqn is way less sandboxie than people seem to think. the sandbox part of eqn is eqlandmark.
EQ::N doesn't have a target date at all, it surely will not come out prior to landmark and landmark isn't slated till the very end of 2013
the mechanics to make landmark are just the landscape and very basic actions of one class, and the development tools slathered on top of that, development tools do not a game make.
Even after landmark is done they will still need to make
-Mobs
-More mobs
-AI for the mobs
-NPC's
- Storybrick coding for NPC
*Someone may think the AI is done, but from the storybrick interview and the complete LACK of AI in the tech demo I have no idea how you could possibly think that short of smoking a crack pipe.
- Loot
- More loot
- Armor and housing mechanics
-37 more classes
- the rest of the playable races...especially gnomes
- inventory systems
- The player shop
I mean hell, that is basically the entire "game" with landscape being what the game is played on.

Again with acting like they only started building EQN at SOE Live!
They will need an inventory system in Landmark.
The player shop (Player Studio) will be available for Landmark.
Hopefully they get all the playable races done for Landmark.
Housing mechanics will need to be complete for Landmark.
Right now they are 100% focused on getting Landmark out the door. Once that happens we will start hearing a lot more about EQN. Specifically Georgeson said that they will be finishing Landmark then announcing each area as they get to it. Keep watching the Round Table for hints into the direction they are going.
Have patience, don't give in to the soothsayers that know for a fact that EQN will take years to make. No one but SOE knows right now how far along they are. All we can do is wait and see.
There should be something new from PAX this weekend as well.
MMOs do not normally launch in the winter/beginning of the year. They almost always launch winter/end of the year. EQNL will release this year. Now lets move along, nothing more to see here.
EQN has *at least* a year of development in front of it. With all the plans we know of, and as much as we still don't, it won't surprise me if it gets pushed to Spring 2015, to be honest.
I hope it's Christmas 2014, but the reality of a AAA game is that it may very well get pushed.
There will be lots of cool stuff to try between now and then though. Hell tomorrow the Hanger module comes out for Star Citizen!! (if you have backed the project at the right level).
A sure sign that you are in an old, dying paradigm/mindset, is when you are scared of new ideas and new technology. Don't feel bad. The world is moving on without you, and you are welcome to yell "Get Off My Lawn!" all you want while it happens. You cannot, however, stop an idea whose time has come.

I am not acting, they have clearly stated what they have not done or are still working on, what is in development phase...in fact we know a lot more about what they have not done than we do about what they actually have done.
Housing mechanics are going to be totally different in landmark than Next, that has already been made crystal clear.
I was actually talking about in game player shops, or auction house, or whatever they decide to do.
They do not need a game worthy inventory system in landmark. They do not need icons for various loot in landmark, they can get away with a minecraft like system or even just a resource counter..
They don't have any social systems in place yet,as per Georgeson they have not even started on them. They are still asking questions on the round table about contested vs uncontested...these are very base level questions that you really need to have answers to before you can build up your encounters.
edit: In SOE's favor though they really managed to bring out planetside 2 in a quick like fashion after they started talking about it seriously.

Optimistically, we wouldn't see an open beta until next Fall, that's if the game is going to make a Christmas shopping season 2014 release. It's just too early to do anything other than speculate wildly based on past experiences, really.

No. If they had anything they wouldn't make polls about ninjas in EQ etc. EQN is a complete vaporware so far with some vague ideas and a lot of PR shite. Nothing, zero. Then again if they build it up as a f2p title then we should not expect much quality and it may come out quite soon. Prepare for strangling cash shop then.

Late 2014 at its earliest, but i agree with you 2015 sounds more logical..
In the upcomming winter however they will release the EQN Landmark building box... wich can be late 2013 or early 2014

Not even close. Be lucky to see it in 2014.
SOE is hoping to make lots of money off people playing the Sims.. err, I mean Landmark.
