Why does ifrit look so not like ifrit

Hey I'v been a final fantasy fan since the game came back out way back when and I am very disapointed at the way ifirt looks for summonrs, like Ifrit never looked like that, heck even the ifrit you can fight looks better, like what frit should look like

That's not ifrit.  He's an egy (or whatever).  It's simply a part of ifrit not ifrit himself.

Edit:  http://eorzeareborn.com/ifrit-story-primal/ There are some screenshot of ifrit.  You don't summon the primals themselves like in previous final fantasies and if you follow the story you know why.

Well Thats stupid, I became a summoner to summon stuff, not there little baby version

They talked about this in one of the live letters and everything.  Should have done your research I guess.  And, again if they didn't do it this way the story should have just been thrown out the window.

It's been said in the class description and in the lore and it's part of the story

 

But seriously, I am sooo happy that we will not see hundreds of big ifrit everywhere...

Whoa whoa whoa Spoiler warning on that link!

Seriously, no, you're not strong enough to summon a primal.. and I LIKE that.. because it free's up the ability to fight the primals later on.  If you summon Ifrit, then fighting him later would make no sense.

I see no spoilers but its just to see how badass this good could look, and man when i looked up his skill set it cleary said summon II- summon ifrit, like I really thought i could summon him, here's hoping for a new expansion of something like that, would be sick to be like yuna from FFX and summon sick ass Primals
