How to Delete a Character?

in Final Fantasy XIV
I made 2 different toons and have finally settled on my main one. I'm at the login screen but can't find anywhere how to delete the unwanted toon. Is there a way to do so?

    Yeah when you are at the character select screen you have the option to delete the character, then it makes you wait 20 seconds to make sure you don't want to cancel it.

    I am at the character select screen but do not see an option to delete. My two toons are on 2 different servers. Is this why I do not see the delete option?

    Right click your toon's name.
