I owned 1.0 thus I get 14 days free play, and I wont be able to play for a month or two after those 14 days since I don't have any money.
Finding the 14 days free play useless so far due to errors and not even being able to join the game.

Well, considering they made 1.0 free for a significant time, they will probably extend the time until subs start a week or 2, depending.
Here's hoping.
They usually dont put you in a queue, I know on Siren, I just get booted back to the main screen, saying the server is full, try again later, its like that on alot of servers. I think only so many people can be in the queue at a time.
I don't know man, they only did that because they thought the game sucked too, they know they have a fantastic game here.
It never did count against the initial 30 days, they gave you, basically 6 free days on top of the 30 you got with the box purchase, enough time to enter your retail code in by, i believe tomorrow, that time doesnt go away, so on tuesday, when I entered my retail code, it said I had 33 days until I got billed.
Nope c:
I'm in college and living with my mother still, so, my bursary doesn't kick in for a while.
You can normally donate plasma for about $30 bucks a pop, make this a once a month habit and you cover 2 MMOs and possibly save some lives. Win/win.
Can't do that in the uk, even though I know you're joking aha.
I believe they just posted that they will give free days.

While i dont have much time to play this week, so im not sweating it in the least, I find it quite flabbergasting that 3 days after launch I am still prohibited from creating a toon on a north american server .
Issues iv seen from other AAA MMO launches in the past 7 years:
a) Servers crashing at random
b) Long queue times (hour +) on some servers
c) game crashing at random due to memory leaks
d) game ebing unavailable for a day to correct server issues
e) buggy or broken quests/encounters within the game
f) buggy or broken chat channels within the game
....never in my life have I seen a game utterly lock down charecter creations on every single server for a specific region for multiple days lol. Heck, even Bioware was adding servers on the fly in SWTOR, DAY ONE as the deployed ones were filling up.
So far they said it will be this way at least until early next week, which means I would have purchased and havent been able to use my purchace for a week. I am pretty sure they will extend the first free month for folks
Makes all those demanding refunds look really silly.
And those threatening lawsuits lol
At the time same though, anyone else find it a little shady to announce record breaking concurrent player numbers, then in the same announcmeent reiterate that they wont be instating an idle timeout?
Well people who threaten lawsuits over games are the trashbin of the gaming community...on multiple levels. I can get people who prior to the game launch that were mad. They were pretty much screwing with peoples purchases since they couldn't even handle those who were already registered and ready to play...
As far as idle timers...perhaps they don't see a need to inconvenience people who need to step away, and change code, when new servers are on the way anyway.
Would seem pointless to spend a couple weeks coding it in, QA testing it, and patching the change....When they need new servers and new servers fixes that issue. Idle timer wont fix the issue only increased capacity.
While I get their reason for not implementing idle timeout, like I said, isn't it a little shady though to boast about concurrent players in the same announcement detailing their plans to not implement an idle timeout? Am I the only one that sees the irony in that?
If you don't have 12.99 a month for a single character per server, you have bigger issues than not being able to play a video game for a few months.
I know it is kind of cliche and people say that kind of stuff on these boards all the time, but seriously, it's true.
How do I have 'bigger issues'?
I'm eighteen and and have no income right now, not until my college course has been commenced for a few months.
I've been broke and had to move back into my parents basement. True story. Got a job working at a Target stocking shelves to pay bills + debts. This, with a 4 year college degree and years of experience post-graduation. Humbling experience.
Spent some time doing contract work after that, finally landed a full time job in a hard economy, been promoted twice in 2 years and given 3 raises.
I worked while I was in college. Part time. Plenty of folk have had it much, much worse off than I have.
I'm sorry I have no sympathy for someone who says they can't afford 12.99 a month because they are in college and live at home.
Ahh, you're american.
Works differently over here c: college is free.
And what? I'm not asking for any form of sympathy, bloody hell.
I was just pointing out that I don't have the money to spare on a game for a little while.
Lucky! Makes me feel even less bad for your woes if your college is free. Get a job, pay monthly fee or don't play. Simple economics. Job won't pay for everything else + MMO? Get a better job. American capitalistic attitude FTW
Try finding a job in Glasgow, I dare you aha. One that doesn't require plenty of experience, even part time.
I don't NEED a job, I'm not complaining, all I said was that I wont be able to play for a few months (Which I'm fine with) and I was just hoping to get a couple of weeks gameplay into the game before being cut out of it.
Talking down to me isn't exactly appreciated :P I know 'simple economics'
Ah, I'm an American - we always sound condescending. Apologies! Thankfully you are getting your wish of extra game time!
