Can't even get to the character select screen anymore

Soon as I click start, I now a blank character select screen for about 20-30 seconds followed by "The world is full, try again later" crap. Is this something new they've implemented or a problem with the servers? Instead of kicking people out before they even get the luxury of seeing their characters, they could have at least implemented an AFK booter.  It's now more frustrating than ever trying to get in because you have to wait 20-30 seconds before you can try again instead of A A A A A A spamming.

Think it might be a different problem as I closed the game down then reloaded and got in fine.

you could play on JP servers..I have been. 

 

On AUG 28th they said "The world you're trying to enter is currently full. Please try again at a later time. We are currently working on improving our data centers and hope to have the upgrades completed in the coming week. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding."

My point being was that I couldn't even get to the character screen to change server, I was getting the error immediately after pressing the start button. Tbh though, I don't think they've intentionally changed it to do that and either a problem server/client side.

I'm getting this problem too and closing and opening the client to try again isn't fixing it either.

I had that several times during early access, just keep trying. It basically means that you have a bad connection to the servers which happens during times of heavy traffic or when they are working on the servers.
