Early access over, 1017 error still

in Final Fantasy XIV
Are people still having problems logging into the game? Because if the grace period is over and your free 30 days have started seems like they should extend the grace period till the day when you can log on without problems. So are people still getting 1017 errors?

    ok thanks ill wait to register my game till next weekend then so i dont start my 30 days and not be able to play. Seems pretty dumb of SE to start charging people the 30 days and i cant log into my account freely. They should extend that grace period at least till they have proper queues for people to sit in.

    i believe we are gettign some free days compensated to us anyways

    would be nice to know for sure if we were going to get some free days added on. They should provided more info to people on something like that. Any links on when the new data centers will be up? any links for the free days added ? Thanks for any info provided.

    The free days are meant for people who have been genuinely inconvenienced.  It's not suppose to be one of these "let me jump in now and be inconvenienced and therefore qualify for free days."  In other words, the free days are not a promo to entice people to buy the game with the expectation of free days, so there is no need to advertise it.  Bottom line, f you want to qualify for potential free days, jump in now and be genuinely inconvenienced.  If you don't want to be inconvenienced, then wait and do not expect free days.

    Anyway, yes everyone is still getting the 1017.

    Yes - its annoying as hell

     

    No - there isn't really any  excuse for it at this point.

    It's almost like people purchase the game and then forget that the company has a website for the game, and even official forums, where they have explained all of this in painstaking detail, from the game producer himself even, you don't even have to deal with forum warriors who may or may not even be playing the game...

    I did buy the game right from SE website, i played in what i guess you can call an early access. but now i have to actually register my game code they sent me. So i was just asking these questions so i can figure out if i should activate my copy this weekend or wait till next weekend. Because i dont have the time to sit here for hours on end battling a 1017 error, so if the error was still happening i will chose to wait till next weekend to activate my code that way my free 30 days dont start till the game is actually stable. Not really sure why people get all up in arms about simple questions.

    I can only speak for today - it's been pretty bad, at least for me.

    You can add me to this list , after 45 min of 0000000000000   I was sick of seeing my character lol..  this 1017 item has hurt the game and I know new worlds are coming but that will not help legacy toon and the worlds that are full and people do not want to start over.. on top of that my wife has decided that she will not play now and this is the first time since eq we are not playing together ..  we also bought 2 ps3 collector ed. for travel and the items ( though we already have the first 1.0 collector items on our pc accounts)  but yesterday we returned them for our money  . really sad would love to support the game more but getting tired of 1017 and na worlds always closed .. really don't see this getting better  soon until people stop playing.

     

    Well I hope it works out  they did make a nice world..

     

     

    ps on a sad note when we did return the ps3 collector ones the sale person ask what was up with the game this time.. I asked why , he pointed to another collator ed and maybe 4 other pc boxes and said they had about three others call to ask if they could return opened boxes .. but they could not ..   I just said well remember the swg nge  this will go down as the ff 1017..

    Well, my first impression of FF XIV: A Realm Reborn is ruined.  I came back (v1.0 player) to give it a try, and sure enough, all the servers are full of players right now.  SquareEnix apparently can't be buggered to run a queue anymore, so instead they just show all interested players the door.

    The worst part is, the server issues probably won't even be solved until my "Welcome back program" free time is gone.  So it's either subscribe to the game or have no idea if it's something I'd want to play now.
