Are the servers down atm? My play button is not clickable atm.

    The 'Start' is grayed out for me.  And 5 minutes previously when I tried, it wasn't yet only the Japan worlds were open.  

    Network Engineering has Square Enix in a headlock right now.

    ya my start was too but now its working again but servers won't show for me.

    Grrrrr, all because my keyboard locked up? and i needed to reboot now i can't get back in no start button here either.

    start's greyed out for me and i can't access the ff14 forums or figure out if they have a shard status page anywhere.

    Considering that this is the 2nd launch for this title SE had one, and ONLY one chance to redeem themselves. The server issues at this point are bad enough that I think they have lost their only chance to retain any players. Within 3 months this game will be barren. Server issues will be over though.

    The servers are way overcrowded.. Things will only get better with some people leaving after the free time.

    Every single person I know that currently is playing FF14 has no intention of staying past the 30 day mark. I am the only one out of everyone. And since I cant ever play when I have time I see no reason to play myself. That's why I say they blew their only chance and they know it. That's why they have been putting on the theatrics.

    Your anecdote is touching but ultimately meaningless.  Your post is probably a lie and rather humorous.

    I played beta with no issues. now I cant even log in cus the start button is greyed out and then I get the 2002 error. and even if I could get in, I get dc'd because a program has caused the game to stop responding and windows will check for solution. this is tiresome. my wife is playing on the same network so its not any router firmware issue. she has almost the identical alienware as I do. she has no issues. and no its not cus im using an alienware.

    Its true, although I only know 6 people who play. But at this moment that is my only ample size that I can actually verify, and it is 100% accurate. Not a single one of them intends to stay.

    Oh boy.  Six.  Better call up SE HQ.

    I have 49 friends that don't play FFXIV ARR.  Guess that means there's no server issue because only 2% of my social group plays the game.

    Oh wait.
