In UL the IC forums play SUCH a huge part in the game.   Why not in Reclamation you give the dreamers an access point IN DREAM to access the forums.  At the same time, you could leave the forums on the net for out of dream access.

You could use something like the quest boards to access the forum.  If wolf is still doing lyras websites, then betwixt the two of those braniacs they could fashion a creation that could pull that off nicely.

But if it's IC then why not bring it in game.

Public messaging through a centralized board like the quest board would be an idea too.  That way people aren't getting paged mid game.  But they can hit the old board every now and then and see if there's any messages queued.  If you think that's too open, you can limit it to only teachers recieving messages off that board.

I'm all for the IC forums being accesible in game, nothing like arting up and hitting alts only to realize you need to check the forums for something and thus waste precious charges on alts and ellies (although there was an art posted earlier to solve that problem, but either way).  Yes, I second, assuming this is possible, to have access to the IC forums in game, via Mission Board or someother device.

I like the idea actually, at least the IC part of the forums.

Perhaps you can have boards, like the quest boards in the UL library and on it you have the choice to go directly to the ic forums (if it's not possible to do that, then maybe give the option to get off the game and the website for forums automatically pops up...I know ul does that, or should, when they put patches in to update, not sure if websites would work the same way). Quests should still be on the board.

The ic forums should still be readable out of the game though, either way, because I know a lot of players get bored when at school or work and can't get in the game, they roam through the forums. image

Forums in the game itself would be awesome. We could actually now put the scrolls in the Library of Souls where they belong. This would bring lots of attention to LoS, and make it a sort of meeting hall for posted discussions on the scrolls.

I also suggest that only teachers, rulers, and guardians be able to start new threads on the majority of scrolls in this system. Either that, or have some sort of sphere restriction on other scrolls. This way a lot of nonsense posts from a thousand new folks flooding into this new game could be prevented. Maybe have the house scrolls be that house's leadership only allowed to start threads, but allow anyone to reply that is at least first sphere or something. Then have a game events scroll that anyone first or second sphere can post to, or maybe just teachers or house leaders, then allow anyone first sphere and up to reply. And ofcourse a newly awakened scroll where anyone can post and reply to.

Also, we can keep all IC forums in game, and all OOC forums outside the game on the website, to keep the roleplaying 'feel' in game, and the OOC feel outside of game, where they both belong.

P.S. Everytime I post lately, my browser switches back to the thread and my post doesn't show up, and I'm logged in. Anyone ever have that trouble? On these Rec forums that is, not on the UL forums. I originally posted this reply like four or five days ago :/

On Topic:  Nothing new to say, but I's like alot

PoloJoe: I have that problem alot when i first started, but it has seemed to go away now that I chose the option to stay logged in X amount of days, instead of logging out after each visit, don't know if that helps

I still say keep ic forums available out of the game as well...don't know how many times I've been stuck at school between classes and it's helped keep some sanity I have left, it gives me something to read

PJ ~ I think I have a similar problem, unless I'm on this specific computer I can't post anything...either the message box goes blank, the page with it on it comes back up, or I'm asked to log in (doesn't matter how many times I actually log in either).

Also, I never log out by I have to log back in every timeimage

click "Your Account Settings" and right near the top there is a box to check to auto-log in.  Since clicking said box, I haven't had those problems PJ was talking about.
