Please help me find the game I want.

Hey people of the Interwebz,

I was wondering if any of you guys could help me find the game i have been looking for. I am looking for a "build an empire" simulation game. One where you go from the smallest things such as gathering and placing down buildings and making armor and items to building an army and  taking over countries. I am looking for one where the map is the whole world and not just some cut off small area. like in stronghold 3. Does anyone know of such a game?

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Thank you, Unmatched44

Are you talking about an MMO RTS or just an RTS game?

In either case I don't think I've seen one where it's a full blown open world. It's usually the world is handled in a turnbased setting and once combat starts for a territory it loads up the map so it's cut off to a small area by comparison.

That being Said, games in the Total War series have massive friggin maps to actually fight in, even if the whole world isn't one massive instance.

Supreme Commander also has combat on a massive scale which is basically fighting over a whole world if not a huge are of it.

OH! This game isn't out yet but it involves fighting over entire planets and then some. Planetary Annihilation. They recently released a trailer for the Galactic War which is going to be a huge randomly generated galaxy map to fight over in single player or multiplayer. Can't believe I forgot that Planetary Annihilation is coming.
