Story quest line

in Final Fantasy XIV

I have been leveling my Conjurer up to lvl 15 so that i can unlock additional classes. I have also been doing the story quest line in Gridania.

After i hit 15, i traveled over to Ul'Dah and unlocked Gladiator. I did all the quests in the city and the surrounding areas, but i was unable to pick up any story quest lines in Ul'Dah area. I was under the impression that Momodo (or whatever her name) was also giving out the story quest lines.

So now i'm in a bit of a "pickle". I basically ran out of quests on my Gladiator. I have done all the quests in central and western areas, as well as in the city without any story line quests, and now have to resort to leves and events in order to grind up to lvl 15 so i can continue the Gridania quests again. Am i doing something wrong here? 

I even clicked on Recommendations for each zone surrounding Ul'Dah and all i'm getting are maybe 2 hunting log entries that i missed, and Duties which give super low exp (after the first-time runs).

Any suggestions are appreciated.

    im not sure what happened lol but the main quest should send you to both other towns then back to your town. Either open your quest journal or head back to grid to see if you missed something. Personally i started in ln another town but was able to get past 15 and still not completing every quest. try hitting up some fates while ur questing to help level up

    can also try your hunting log thats good exp also

    Odd, I've been overleveling on my story quests, I have alot of side quests unfinished for other jobs.

    Would the cross-city trips be happening at around lvl 15? Because my main quest is still at 14, i've overleveled it with all the side quests in Gridania. But Ul'Dah seems so empty for some reason.... I even finished about 85-90%% of hunting logs.

    Every zone i check around Ul'Dah basically contains level-locked quests only.

    There is one storyline.  There isn't a separate storyline for each city.  There is one storyline depending on where you start -- you can't go to another city and do the storyline missions there.

     

    What you can do in other cities are the side missions.  Keep in mind that these don't give too much XP.

    Thank you all for the clarification. I guess i'll go back out to Gridania to finish of the lower level quests there and catch up my Gladiator to the main storyline lvl.
